SealswithClubs

I have taken some heat from Bitcoin enthusiasts for my grading of SealswithClubs in previous reports.

My issue is not with the site at all. I simply feel that players should understand that there is a risk in the price fluctuations of Bitcoin.

For example, prices are down around $100 since our last report, however it has bounced back from six-month lows in the past few days. Players should understand that playing at a Bitcoin site involves an additional level of currency exchange risk.

SealswithClubs processes withdrawals in about 12 hours.

Borgata Online Gaming Revenue Grows 15% in January

LAS VEGAS – FEBRUARY 12, 2014 – Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE: BYD) today announced the following results from Borgata’s online gaming operations in the month of January 2014.

Combined, Borgata and partypoker generated $3.9 million in online gaming revenue, giving the network a market-leading 41% total share of New Jersey’s online gaming business.  Borgata accounted for $2.7 million in revenue, a 15% increase over December 2013.

Keith Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming, said:

“Our market-leading performance is testament to the quality of our online product and the power of the Borgata brand.  These results also once again demonstrate online gaming’s potential to expand our business. About 85 percent of our online players have not had rated play at Borgata in at least two years, showing there is little overlap with our land-based business. Online gaming is growing our database, creating a long-term opportunity to market Borgata to an entirely new group of customers.”

Tom Ballance, President and Chief Operating Officer of Borgata, said:

“As we continue to refine our technology, we believe there is significant upside to our business.  In January, Borgata launched a mobile gaming app for iPhones and iPads, and we are scheduled to roll out a version for Android devices shortly.  As Borgata expands into mobile gaming, we believe we will further grow our business and the overall market.”

The New Jersey Effect On The Un-Regulated U.S. Poker Market

MergeLast week, news broke that the Merge Gaming Network announced it would no longer accept new players or allow existing players in New Jersey and Delaware to play for real money on a number of it’s sites.

Immediately following this abrupt announcement, speculation began to mounting across the various player’s forums on the internet. Whether it was a legal issue, a specific threat, or strictly a precautionary measure, it still is unclear to exactly why Merge withdrew from these states. We reached out to an operator on the Merge network, and this is what we were told:

“To our knowledge, the network (Merge) leaving NJ and DE had nothing to do with any existing legal threats. It was more than likely done strictly out of precaution. It would also not be surprising if payment processing within those borders had been severely cut-off over the past several weeks.”

While it’s impossible to guess the exact reasons behind Merge’s departure from these states, it would be a logical assumption that payment-processing issues were one of the primary reasons. With credit card companies and banks more cognitive to gaming transactions than ever before in NJ and DE, it would make sense that perhaps Merge began experiencing additional processing issues.

As more states continue to regulate online gambling, it will be interesting to see what the short and long term effects on the unregulated markets will be.  It seems unlikely that both regulated and non-regulated poker sites would be able to work harmoniously in the same state.  It also seems unlikely that states would continue allowing non-regulated gambling, as this would obviously take away from tax revenues.

Full Flush Brings A New Option For U.S. Poker Affiliates

fullflushFor the past several years, U.S. facing poker affiliates have been left with very few options of where to send their U.S. poker traffic. In fact, you could probably count on on one hand the amount of trusted U.S. online poker affiliate programs.

Recently however, a new online poker contender has entered the market, and is quickly making waves. Full Flush Poker, the flagship brand on the new Equity Poker Network is now live and seeing impressive growth numbers.

According to poker tracking site PokerScout.com, the Equity Poker Network’s 24-hour players average is holding steady at 92 players with a peak 24-hour player number of 192 players. It should also be noted that as of this writing, there are currently 541 players online. We expect to see the 24-hour and peak player number continue to rise in the weeks ahead.

This is exciting news for poker affiliates, as there is now another viable option and poker site to send players. The Full Flush Poker Affiliate Program is managed by FlushAffiliates.com and offers affiliates a terrific 25% -35% revenue share, as well as great tools, bonuses, and promotions to help affiliates convert their traffic.

Only time will tell how successful Full Flush Poker will be in the U.S. market, however one thing is certain; no other room has been able to enter this space over the past several years and capture as much traction as Full Flush has.

Full Tilt Poker – $82 Million Approved by DOJ To Be Released

FullTilt Claims Remission

Breaking yesterday on twitter from @PPAPoker, the news quickly spread that the DOJ had approved the release of $82 million dollars to over 30,000 U.S. players.  It should be noted however that the approved funds are only for “undisputed claims” and also does not include affiliate funds or money in the accounts of Full Tilt Red Pro’s.  The funds of these two groups still remains in limbo. Likewise, although these funds have been approved to be released by the DOJ, it is still unclear exactly when players will begin receiving payments.

More information on eligibility and the entire process can be found at FullTiltPokerClaims.com.  There is also a write-up over at Pocket Fives that gives a better explanation of the latest announcement on Full Tilt claims.

While good news overall for players, it still stings for those of us affiliates, who for years invested our time, money, and energy to make Full Tilt the powerhouse brand that it was.  Share your thoughts in the community in the official thread running in the forums about this latest Full Tilt news.  Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences there.

PAL Announces Pre Super Bowl Freeroll This Sunday

It’s that time of year again, and one of the best days of the year!  Yes, in less than two weeks, one of the largest sporting events in the world is slated to take place.  The 2014 Superbowl is guaranteed to be a good one with the Seatle Seahawks and Denver Broncos meeting up for the very time in history at the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.  Will weather be a factor?  Only time will tell.

While there is the NFL Pro Bowl this coming weekend, most football fans realize that is the least serious and aggressive game of the year.  Players are there to have fun with other players in the league, and most importantly, not get injured.  But, that doesn’t mean that your Sunday this weekend should lack excitement!  Our friends at Carbon Sports are hosting an exclusive freeroll event for PAL members on Sunday evening at 9:00 P.M. EST with over $500 in free Superbowl bets added!

The top 15 finishers of this freeroll event will receive free cash into their Carbon Sports accounts where they can place any kinds of wagers on the Big Game come Super Bowl Sunday.

This promises to be a great PAL event, with exceptional value to our members.  You can get registered and read all the details in the forums at the official PAL thread here.

See you all at the tables this weekend!
