PAL 2010 NFL Fantasy Football Pool

Might be a bit early to post, but want to make sure we get things set up and moving so we definitely have a good pool.

Anyone interested in running, etc...?

What can we do this year to make this a solid event?

I suggest finding a way to add NFL ticks to a team of your choice for the winning team for week 17 or for following season.

Anyways, let's get the ball rolling - I need to DEFEND MY TITLE!

Im sure I can grab some sort of sponsorship for you guys as well on this one...

I like the idea of adding ticks to a game, especially week 17, however the problem is that what if someone from Australia wins. Does the sponsor have to book 2 flights to the U.S. at the last minute? Further to that some of those across the pond probably wouldn't want to fly that far for a live NFL game.

I mean after all, this is real football, not kick ball. (Sorry, had to throw that in there)

I would say a stubhub gift certificate maybe would be better. I've also had sponsors approach me already. So don't worry, as always we'll round up some killer prizes. I'm definetely in, but really don't want to be the commissioner. If anyone wants to volunteer to be the comish, I'll pay your entry.

Also per last week, we'll also be running a PAL poker league in the coming weeks as well. we haven't forgot about that.

I will run it Jeremy - not a problem, unless someone REALLY wants to for some oddball reason. I can set it up on Yahoo like Brandon did, since people really liked the way it works with Yahoo.

And, I DO mean the FANTASY FOOTBALL pool...but the Survivor pool would be cool too!

Not sure why any Australians would want in...unless we allow teams to pick 3 placekickers...lol...this is Football, not Futbol...although I am sure we would welcome Australian sponsorship by Stephen!

I am thinking 1st week of September would work best - like either...

a) Wednesday, September 1st evening
b) Thursday, September 2nd evening
c) Friday, September 3rd evening

I am thinking Thursday might be best as that is the long weekend and people might be away Friday to Monday.

BTW, the first game is the following Thursday, September 9th.

Thinking $100 is reasonable with a max of 18 teams - although 16 would likely work best.

I AM OFFICIALLY IN 100% - so that is 1 team...and I am sure Jeremy is team #2...so, start posting your official confirmations here and the best day for you out of the above 3 in order of preference so we can figure this all out!
