Default All sellers please read this

I am spending most of my time having to send PM's for URL's which is really annoying and takes a lot of time, so why don't all sellers start to put the URL's into the posts. Some won't want to place the URL as a link which is fine but you could write it as wwwdotexampledotcom

Please will the sellers start doing this because I can guarantee that more sales will be made, I for one will buy more links as I won't be wasting my time asking for URL's

    thanks,

I'm guessing people don't want to do it because its a public forum and google has a form that competitors can use to report link sales: xxxhttps://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/paidlinks?hl=en&pli=1

Even in disguised form, it is a very bad idea to post URLs when selling links, if only for the reason given above. Noone is goingt to risk a penalty just for your convenience. Bear in mind that if the seller gets hit with a penalty, it will also affect the value of the link you paid for

It would be a bad idea for any sellers to do this. Many buyers are not going to risk buying a link from a page advertised with links for sale.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

Why not using a URL shortener service like Tinyurl or goo.gl ?

LOL sorry guys but that's really pathetic, whoever told you that you would get a penalty is full of sh*t, there's thousands of sites a lot bigger than all of ours who openly advertise and Google doesn't devalue them. If it was easy as that then I would simply post my competition here in the forum and they would get a penalty, seriously come on guys think about it. I seriously can't believe that you think you'll get a penalty for posting your sites here, that's just plain idiotic.

In-fact I just thought as a way to prove my point that you can advertise without receiving a penalty is..., THIS FORUM, PAL openly advertise that you can buy links and guess what guys, they don't have a penalty.

I understand if you are scared, but sometimes you just have to think a little bit about what's really happening. Google and SEO's will scare you into thinking a lot of things when in reality it's a load of BS. Just like buying links from bad neighbourhoods, if that could get people penalties then all I would do all day is buy "bad neighbourhood" links.

Here are a couple of solutions if you are still scared,

    1. We ask Jeremy to "noindex/nofollow" the advertising/links section of the forum (google wont index the content then)

    2. Make an image of your domain name with paint or something, then post that in the thread (google can't read images)

Anyway, there's 2 very simple solutions that would benefit everyone.

Interesting ideas that you layout there... Would be interested in hearing how you you prevent those suggestions being visable to a human that accessed the site?

I ask this not to be a pain in the arse but it has been known that Matt Cutts has had people signing into other webmaster forums like Digital Point to pick out the listings that openly push sales.

As someone that many know from within the SEO market, i have 'acquired' links before and the sending of a PM with just 5 words in it to get the details of the site is literally a 30 second job?

Surely to alter things it would be easier for you simply to write the PM in notepad and then copy and paste it when you need to?

    For example:

Please PM me the details of the site.

    Thanks

That's not what was said. In theory if URL's are made public someone could report the URL to Google for link selling. It's a bad idea for both sellers AND buyers.
