I am new to Bingo promotion as well, chose rev share in stead of CPA. Only I have no benchmark on what normal revenues per active player are per month.
Right now I am averaging 15 euros per player per month on a 25% rev share basis. Does anybody have an idea if this this good, medium or bad? Feedback is very much appreciated!
I think the best option is to do mixture of CPA, hybrid and rev-share deals... while rev-share tend to bring you more money in the long run, don't forget that the long run can be 6 to 12 months while on CPA you can get your commission at the end of the month and can invest your money in generating more traffic to your site.
Also, from time to time we see bingo sites close/merge with only few days notice and your rev-share is gone forever (Or in some cases reduced dramatically) so don't ignore the risk involve in rev-share deals.

But is there an industry average on how much bingo users play per month? I need to have a benchmark to compare the different operators.
Hey Buzzman, I think for bingo you're going to be looking at a $75 average CPA and anywhere from 25-45% revenue share. I know we're doing 50% rev share for new affiliates right now but that's pretty high. On hybrid deals you'll just have to check with each program. It's not usually something they list on the site because it's harder for them to adjust the payments each month manuallyThey're definitely popular; especially if you're buying your traffic!

I have always stuck with Rev Share, for the simple fact that one big time player can make up for many, many CPA players. This goes for all industries.

Revenue share I guess. It a lot easier and to understand, no complications to be resolved at, when conflicts and disputes arises. Revenue sharing is just as simple as it says. From experience I might add.
From an Operator's point of view it's been really good to read all the comments and input - and understand exactly what you guys & gals as the Affiliates need & want
From keeping tabs on what 'competitors' offer, I would say the CPA range is about $30 - $70.
HOWEVER.... have also seen a trend in Affiliate programmes moving away from CPAs and focussing on Rev share only. With CPA the Operator takes the risk of recouping the full amount from the player (which doesn't happen with every player, so sometimes we work at a loss). But with Rev share its a joint partnership 50/50 - and personally I believe this leads to long-term campaigns (not short 'flash in the pan' deals!)

I am on revshare. My players are having a good month as I am nicely negative for May already :-(
Feb and March were good though!
