Affiliate Press Releases - Preferential Treatment

Hi guys,

I'm new around here and also to the whole affiliate game. I've now been working on my website for a couple of months and have been trying hard to compete with the abundance of other bingo affiliate sites out there.

One thing that is really important to me is to have fresh and new content. To do this I make sure I'm really on the ball about posting an article re-write of any promo material that my affiliate manager emails me.

Trouble is that stuff they send out on email is already on some other bingo affiliate websites 2 days earlier. And I was wondering how do they do this?

Do some affiliates get preferential treatment over others and get given the press releases in advance or do they get the information from other sources?

Any insight would be great.

Hello Donna, I've liking your website, it's a fresh of breath air.

I have got affiliate managers on msn and Skype, I put up with there bullshit so I know I'm on of the first to get the info. Some of the big boys who are sending hundreds if not thousands of rmp players a month, are bound to be able to flex there traffic muscles... I know I would.

One of the things you can do is hire a good news writer. Ask them to research the net for anything interesting for readers to do with online bingo.

News posts of like 300 - 400 words should be cool enough!! And if you ask them to send these along with re writing the press releases you get you will be fine.

That's what i do - i never use those press releases i get - i re word them in entirety. And make sure they are originals!!

I think it is a good idea to add my affiliate managers to IM and start bugging them to try and get press releases early!

I have also been working hard at re-writing the press releases I get but for some reason I never get any traffic from them. Although, Google is indexing them.

Hey Donna, thanks for the post and welcome to PAL. I agree with everyone here that your site looks great and has all the makings to rank very well. The design is clean and I think with the right traffic it will convert for you.

I think that re-writing the press releases is ok; but you might be better off creating a keyword strategy and then writing fresh articles and blog posts about that topic. When you get a press release see what promotions can tie into your articles.

Let's say your niche is 'easy to clear bonuses' so you start with something like an outline:
bingo bonus - best bingo bonuses - easy uk bingo bonus - free bingo bonus money

When you get an email from let's say Bet365 that is promoting their new 300% deposit bonus you can add that into the articles and even create some new ones with that promotion being the focus (call to action).
