Scaling A SEO Campaign.

I wanted to talk about scaling an SEO campaign because I feel that a lot of people are already doing the right thing but aren’t taking full advantage of the resources available to them. Scaling anything in business is how you make small business big business so it is only sensible that with SEO you can do the same thing.

You need to look at the things you are already doing and seeing how you can improve this process to make sure you are using your time the most efficiently. I only promote link building methods that have longevity, yes you can get 1000 links in a day but none of them will stick and this is a very risky business model.

Article Marketing – So you are submitting your articles to the big article directories to get links back to your articles. This is fantastic and a great way of building authority to your sites for a number of different keywords.

So how do you scale article marketing?
Easy, start using an article spinner to make HIGH quality spins. Article spinning is process where you rewrite the same article to create 50+ unique copies of that article that you can submit around the web. To give you an idea of time frames, it takes 30 minutes to write a 500 word article, a further 1 hour to do a high quality spin and the result of that are 50+ articles that you can submit to article directories. If you spend the time making a HIGH quality spin you will get accepted around the web and give you decent link juice.

Blog commenting – Whatever anyone says blog commenting works, again I only advocate high quality blog commenting. No one likes blog spammers and this is not what I am advocating, when I answer a blog I look at the post and try to add some value.

So how do you scale blog commenting?
There are two ways you can do this or even combine the two, either pays someone to do it manually from a site like fivver.com which is extremely cheap to outsource too. Or get a program like blog commenter Daemon to really shorten the process of finding the blogs. What I did was set up one of my employees up with blog commenter Daemon and let them run with it. If you decide to employ someone make sure they are giving out HIGH quality comments because what they write will affect the reputation of your sites in the long run.

Link Exchanges – Regardless of what people say link exchanges are a great way to diversify your link portfolio and they WILL improve your rankings. With link exchanges make sure your site is a quality one and make sure you are exchanging links with quality sites. You must also make sure that each of your exchange requests are completely unique and not just a copied and pasted message.

So how do you scale link exchanges?
Link exchanges are a harder link building method to scale because you need a personal touch. The way I have ramped up my link exchange successes is looking at my competitor’s links page. You can almost guarantee that a lot of links on your competitor’s links pages are doing link exchanges. This means that you KNOW these sites will link exchange and when you contact them you have a much higher success rate.

Directory Submission – Directory submission is another great way to diversify your linking portfolio. You will see a change in rankings by getting these links and they are one of the easiest methods to scale.

So how do you scale directory submission?
You can do a few different things, you can either hire a service to do directory submission for you which works but is not my favourite method. I prefer to use a free program such as Digi Xmas, it is a fantastic tool that will give you a massive list of directories to submit your site to on semi automation.

Thank you for reading and I hope it this article has at least sparked a new idea for you guys to really start to scale your business.

Honestly dude, I disagree with pretty much everything you have said in this article. Scaling things will generate more links, but you are creating lots of low quality links with the methods you have stated, which won't gain you much traction in the search engines. When it comes to SEO, it's all about quality not quantity.

It's funny, the first site i made about a yr ago i was seo'ing and link exchanging for probably 6 months to get it where i wanted. Nowadays I have sites I can get optimised to a level that I'm comfrotable with within a matter of weeks.

These are great tips, but I think it also re-iterates the importance of having a NETWORK of sites. I was thinking about this the other day. With a network of 10+ sites you can start link exchanging with so many different sites and mix and match, 3-way exchange, start a decent link wheel etc. The good thing is that you can get high quality links doing this rather than maximising the directories like ezines for links (which i think lose value and become diseconomies of scale with respect to new article linkage x seo effect). If you did this with one site w you'd be clogged with a banner farm from links exchanges pretty quickly.

It's not just that, but being able to sell links on a network and raise capital for a particular project, or even use a current network in a similar niche to boost a site is important.

Maybe it's been said before, but the last thing I'd want to do atm is be drudging away at a single site and putting all of my energy into it. I'd rather have 5 sites with PR1 than 1 site PR4 or w/e just to give me scalability and economies of scale in seo e.g. purchasing an article submissions service with a big fee is not something 100% worthwile with one big site, but when you have your own network it does become profitable.

I also find when doing gambling/casino/sportsbetting sites that my network of contacts increased and maange to get some fresh links in there as opposed to getting to the point where growth is limited with only 1 big site in your portfolio.

This is interesting discussion because while PokerAussie is right in what he says, I don't believe you can build 100 sites in this niche in a scalable manner and still rely on quality over quantity.

Also in some cases I really believe a link is a link is a link, yes there are good juice passing links out there, and yes that is what she should try to get, but I don't discount the value of mass amounts of low volume links mixed in too. Verdict is out either way in my opinion, I'll probably test a couple sites where I do nothing but this technique and compare it to similar site using the quality only method sometime.

Hey PokerAussie, I appreciate the comment. While I can see your point of view the scaling of link exchanges and blog commenting was not to create low quality links. Knowtice I mentioned ways to speed up searching for quality sites that are interested in link exchanges as well as making sure you give good quality comments on blogs. if I wanted to spam scale blog commenting I would have just mentioned Xrumer.

Spinning is a touchy subject as you are not adding "value" to the net with 30 times the same article reworded however you can't disagree that some of the top SEOers in the world use article spinning as a way of generating links. Just look at this talk from "FantoMaster" - http://www.pokeraffiliatelistings.co...ets-video.html

I think this is a great post, as it mentions a couple of link sources that many consider to be low value. The simple truth is that when combining all of these perceived "low value links" with proper aging it can and will be effective. Most people just discount them as low value and don't pay attention to it, or they are just too lazy to use them.

    1)directories
    2)blog commenting
    3)link exchanges
    4)article marketing

If you do all of these in moderation over the course of 1 year, your site has a good chance of being in good shape after that year. People that say otherwise have preconceived notions that they don't work when combined together. I used to be one of those people who did nothing but buy one way links. Yes it worked, but at some point it's just not cost effective any longer. The so called "low value" methods can and will work. Most people are just too lazy to do it. It's much easier to post about how low value they are rather than trying it for yourself.

Prenut I like to think I am talking from experience (if your comment was directed at me).

directories - most of them are considered as link farms and are worthless. there are a few directories you would want to be listed in but submitting to 1,000 high pr directories isn't going to do you much good.

blog commenting - this is not link building at all, most are nofollow but it can be a good strategy for networking with other bloggers.

link exchanges - recip links lost value years ago! but if you get creative with link exchanges it can be a good to do. if you mean link page exchanges then lol.

article marketing - when done right it can be worthwhile.

regarding article spinners, i think they are an absolute joke. the software produces garbage content and the only sites which would accept this rubbish is new sites which need the content. i would hardly call this a quality link. and this is after you have spent 1 hour configuring the spinner to get it to generate something semi readable. the time you spent doing that could have been spent on writing a quality article.

If you actually used the blog commenting software i reccomended it finds the do follow links for you.

Article spinning is actually one of the more powerful techniques I mention. With spinning it is all about the input, if you put in high quality input you get high quality output. I know what standard spinning looks like, it looks like poor outsourced content, but a high quality spin can read almost perfect and actually gain clickthroughs to your site(in my experience) not just link juice.

I think it would be short sighted of you to dismiss these techniques.

So, I'm assuming that scalability in your seo strategy is just to buy links poker aussie? or are you saying it's not really possible to scale up.

If you are talking about scaling, you are hopefully talking about a site with a 2-5 year time horizon planned. You should have a diversified link portfolio so that your site will do well no matter what tweaks may occur and no matter what types of links google decides to value highly. Not worth anyones time to pick these methods apart. One of my greatest hopes is that you will do a backlink search for my website, see a bunch of blog comments up top, waste your time on those, than decide you don't want to search anymore.
