Well the first annual 2009 CBG Affiliate weekend has come to an end and most of us are back home probably wishing it was on for another week.

The CBG Affiliate weekend was held this past weekend at the Hilton hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada with the idea of offering something to North American affiliates the chance to get to a conference near home, without the normal hassle of having to fly over seas to Europe...

Judy & Dean Button took this upon themselves to organize this and let me tell you, that from the minute I got there to the minute I left, everything was set up and organized perfectly.

Yes, it wasnt nearly as big as the CAP event but what got my eyes open was the fact that it felt that it was a lot more productive than any other conference I have been to over the years and that is quite a few!

Friday afternoon was the welcoming party which was sponsored by casinobonusguy and this was where we all met for the first time, made friends for a few hours before dinner! This was held in the games suite at the Hilton which included pool table, wide screen TVS, open bar, poker table, darts, and Im sure numerous other games!

I got the chance to meet quite a few new faces, and was great to also see some old friends!

At 7pm we were all invited to the Top Level restaurant for a sponsored dinner put on by Anthony and the Fortune affiliate team. May I add that if you are ever visiting Niagara and want to see the most beautiful view of the Falls, then the Watermark restaurant is the place to be!

We were all treated to a 5 class dinner which included free wine, straks that literary melted in your mouth and dessert! We all owe Fortune Affiliates a huge thanks for sponsoring this...

We then headed back to the games suite to have drinks and continue with meeting new friends!

Saturday morning was a sponsored breakfast put on by Miko and Steve from 888.com which was delicious!
Breakfast finshed around 9.30 and it was off to the conference room!

What was unique to any other conference i have visited, was that all the sponsoring programs got a chance to speak to the affiliates about there programs in detail.
This was a huge bonus for myself and the programs I am in charge of which are The Cyber Affiliate network and ReeferPartners affiliate programs.

This lasted for about an hour, and then it was Michael Corfman, Managing Director of The GPWA, who gave us all insight into everything the GPWA does, is planning on doing and so forth... It was extremely interesting to listen to Michael talking!

Upon completion of this we had a little break before lunch!

At 12.30, we all returned to the dinner room and was once again treated to a 5 class lunch which was sponsored by The Cyber Affiliate Network.
It consited of chicken, Roast Beef which was delicious, numerous salads, and dessert!

After lunch we had some free time again before our afternoon seccion!

The afternoon session was an intense SEO session, put on by Gary Beal aka GaryTheScubaGuy!

Gary, had experienced quite a bit of drama, during the previous 4 days and it was uncertian that he would actually even make the conference in time, but without any sleep in 4 days, Gary put on his session to affilaite, as he is not the kind of guy that ever wants to upset people who have come to listen to him...
I personally, have seen Gary at numerous conferences and know that every time you listen to him he has something that i guarantee will open your eyes and help in SEO work.
Gary also offered his services to all affiliates that were there and I am sure many of the attendees will be contacting Gary this week!

The Saturday night sponsors were Bodog, who brought an ope bar, models and many prizes to give away and just a perfect ending to a perfect weekend!

before i conclude, I would like to thank Judy, Dean and the casinobonusguy for setting up this event..It was absolutely a treat to all who attended!

Warm Regards

Colin

Great read. I hope I can attend the next Niagara Falls weekend.
