Attachment 8Here at Carbon Poker the twitter debate has been raging since October. Personally I was like Meh - just another fad for teenage texting kids...

so the other day I sat down with our resident tweeter nerds and we get into a debate and he shows me some of the cool stuff that is going on right now through his twitter deck (wtf I thought, not enough work to do clearly!)

However the more things he showed me the more useful I found it. Last night I was driving home and i get an tweet from the local TV station here there is a 4 car pile up on a bridge I need to use. All of a sudden, like god sent down a lightening bolt from above it hit me..."this shit is useful" . People have finally starting bringing it down to local level news and events. This is when this thing will begin to really get some legs and start to grow up a little.

The challenge for us all still remains - how do I make money at this, well here are some points that made me think a little.
1) Its free
2) People see your name, therefore you are essentially getting good repetitive brand exposure
3) People see your message, as long as you make the message witty, interesting and relevant, people will follow you.
4) People choose to follow you so its semi-targeted.
5) The only downside, is the time it takes which to be fair is minimal, so its not much of a downside.
6)More than one person at a time can log in and post different comments -giving the feeds less of a spam feel.

In terms of providing any ROI on your time vs effort, its difficult to quantify, however we have tried to see how effective this can be by adding bonus codes to our page.
