It is not often that you will ever see me give endorsements on this blog. Nor will you see me advertise poker affiliate programs through affiliate links here.

Don't get me wrong, I have been asked several times about advertising on the blog, and I'm certain I could make a fair amount of money if I accepted it. Nonetheless, I feel this would devalue my opinions on certain rooms and wouldn't allow me to be open minded.

In the current landscape of poker affiliate programs, it is not often that I am so damn impressed with a program or individual that I feel I should run to the internet and give credit where credit is due. This is one of those rare exceptions however. Although a director now days, one of my favorite affiliate managers in the industry has always been Shenaz.

This week she proved why her reputation is amongst one of THE best in the affiliate management industry. Not only did CakePoker send actual Cake's to their players, they also took care of their bigger affiliates and sent them Ipods. There is a thread running at PAW on this.

This was a classy move by the team at Cake and should be a marketing lesson to all the other programs on how to treat both players and affiliates. CakePoker exemplifies how you build brand loyalty amongst your most important assets, your customers.

It baffles me that players can play 10 tables raking 4K+ per month all year and never even get a "Thank-You", or "we appreciate your business" email or gift. Or for affiliates, we can single handedly send 100K+ per month in PROFITS to a poker site and never even get a Holiday card.

The funny thing about the poker industry is that the value of money is basically negligible. Even for affiliates, good months, bad months, money comes and goes. The team at CakePoker actually understands the golden rule however; It's the thought that counts.

I guarantee all the affiliates or players that received these gifts have a renewed loyalty to CakePoker.com. If you have never worked with or played at CakePoker before, you should. Not because I am writing this, but because actions such as this show that they truly care about their players and affiliates.

I am genuinely impressed Shenaz, Rob, & Krista. Nice work!

So sign up as a player at www.CakePoker.com or as an affiliate through the CakePoker Affiliate Program......Easter's coming up in April!

Cake Poker is our number 1 room we promote and we're ranking quite well for them . We have been very pleased with Cake Poker and especially with Rob and Shenaz.

I truly believe Cake Poker will be one of the biggest networks/rooms in the years to come. There position on data-mining and 3rd party software should be adopted to every poker room.

But yeah Kudos to Cake. I wonder how they determined who won the iPods... must of been for non rakeback accounts....

Oh yeah Jeremy, Pow! Cake Poker Jacket. Looks like its my size as well Next month instead of having the top commentator receive a $100 bucks, you should put up that jacket and I'll be sure to win it.

Wow - I read about them before, but this is really stunning. I will make sure to sign up with them today and start promoting them on my site soon. Thanks for the tip.

PS: I have seen the first part of Boiler Room the other day, will watch the second part tonight. So far it's a good and inspiring movie, thanks for your tip Jeremy!

Cake is a great program and Shenaz is truly unbelievable. I highly suggest anybody not promoting them take a look.

I also think they are going to be one of the top networks in the next few years.

Just a follow up to my previous reply in this thread about the movie Boiler Room, sorry about going off topic.

I just finished watching it, and you're right. It's a helluva movie if you can see through the ethics just like you mentioned in your post.

I have to admit that the type of business in the movie is completely unethical, and the gambling affiliate business should not be compared to this movie for that sake, but the characters in it could definitely sell air to anyone! That's motivating!

    Cheers,

The program sounds great, but after offyourface's post about all the fees I am a little hesitant. I think I am gonna wait this one out until London.

I hope nobody's cake gets lost in shipping arriving weeks late, and spoiled. That would be some interesting PR.

I didn't promote Cake before I saw the post in PAW with the picture of a Cake poker Cake. I will now. How cool and thoughtful is that.

Out of the box thinking can be so much fun!

Yeah, giving players a Cake is such a solid idea. I just wonder if any of them ate any of it...

But like Graham said, getting food poisoning wouldn't be good for PR lol

Yea, that thing does not look too appetizing, but like ladyholdem said, great out of the box thinking.
