On this glorious day when the government has debated pissing away another $838+ BILLION dollars, the U.S. stock market plunged 4.6%. I see this stimulus is going to go real well for these guys in Washington.

Most people can't even wrap their heads around 1 billion dollars, let alone $838 Billion. This should put things into better perspective for you.

It is comical to me that households are struggling to stay afloat in the U.S., but the majority of this money is going to the banks and the idiots who created this mess.

Trust me, I sold real estate in the good times. I remember selling $500K homes to people on 3-1 arms at 3.9% who had a household income of <$100K. But hey, the government wanted everyone to live the American dream.

But in the event you as a taxpayer get to bask in the glorious windfall called the stimulus, here is some advice.

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers or credit back in tax breaks.

Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment or credit?
A. The plan is that you will use the additional money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?
A. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your new found tax breaks or stimulus windfall wisely, oh wait, only the banks who created this mess will be getting the funds.

  • If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China .
  • If you spend it on gasoline it will go to the Middle East.
  • If you purchase a computer it will go to India.
  • If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras , and Guatemala (unless you buy organic).
  • If you buy a "quality" car it will go to Japan.
  • If you purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan.
  • And none of it will help the American economy.
  • We need to keep that money here in America. You can keep the money in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spending it on prostitutes, beer (domestic only), or tattoos, since those are the only businesses still in the US.
So enjoy your stimulus payment and keep it here in the USA, hope you like beer and baseball!

Feel free to debate this here. And oh yea, feel free to drink more of the Kool Aid.

Yeah, I saw this one a month or so ago. It's unfortunate there's few checks & balances in our system to keep things running smoothly.

But most people just let themselves get "spun" by all the double-speak to think that everything is going to be ok (meanwhile the pink slips keep piling up)

I sure wish I could offer my employees or even myself an early retirement package of $50K cash and a new car to simply retire early. Oh wait, I'm a small business owner and not a corporation ran by the union getting billions in bailout $. It amazes me that in a failing economy my tax dollars are paying retired union workers pensions and CEO bonuses. The whole system is a joke.

The United States (and by extension, the rest of the planet) is monumentally screwed right now. Despite having earmarked $9.7 TRILLION dollars to fight this problem, the United States is still sliding downhill.

The US spent over $400 billion dollars last year just to service their debt. That's an outrageous number.

The US is running out of bullets and the markets know this.

There are a lot of smart people that say that we are in a depression as we speak - it's getting pretty hard to argue with them.

No worries Jeremy, with all the various projects we have going on we'll be multi-millionaires in a few years and swimming in our vault of gold coins!

I am going to stimulate the economy by depositing into a US regulated online poker room...oh wait.

Here is what is ridiculous. My house is nearly paid off, but when I bought it I decided to carry a small mortgage just for credit purposes. LOL, seriously. I have a credit score of 750+ and my mortgage rate was 6.9% when I bought my home 3 years ago.

So naturally with the rates in the low 5% range I decided to refinance. Because I am a small business owner and own my own business I cannot refinance and am stuck at this bullshit rate.

However, if I let my payment slide or credit score go to shit, the government would then step in and offer up a government program to refinance me. The whole system is fukt right now folks.....

it is such bullshit, and even worse is that it was all done by design. similar to the great depression, the elite are waiting in the wings to purchase up the real assets, the real value, the true things of value for pennies on the dollar while sticking the masses with the bill.

imo, it is going to get worse over 09, 10 and we'll see what happens in 20011... fuck we've just got to earn enough to outrun this bs.

Google Adsense or some other type of ad network is really the only way. Most of the people searching this type of stuff are very curious and could be intrigued to click on the adsense ads with good placement on the site.

Perhaps worth a shot. I'll have to give it some consideration and try to figure out what content I want on the site.

See that is the REAL issue with our economy - America does not make ANYTHING anymore. Going to be hard to create jobs when they are naturally disappearing.
