I Declare Domain Maintenance Month!

I hereby am declaring the rest of this month Domain Maintenance month. I was going through my Godaddy account this morning and realized how much useless crap I own that is on auto-renew.

I'd rather spend the $8x100+ every year on something I actually enjoy. For example lapdances and cheap whiskey in Oklahoma City with GP.

Unfortunately I also realized how many great domains I have that are just sitting there getting stale.

Seriously, nobody said that domain addiction was going to be easy to shake, but I am going to try my best.

Have no fears though, I am holding onto CertifiedBaller.com and GreasyPickle.com. You never know, someday I may actually develop these.

Anyone else suffer from the same addiction. If so, please join me in celebrating the rest of this month by turning off your auto-renew on some of this stuff.

Domain addiction can be worse than crack, I'm finally letting some go.

:gg me

There are 10x as many domains for sale on this forum as there are members. Nuff said.

I would like to pledge my participation to Domain Maintenance Month.

I hate checking my e-mail in the morning and seeing GoDaddy send me e-mails saying "Congrats, you renewed a bunch of shitty domains you'll never build, thanks for the money sucker".

I brought this up on another thread, the worst is when you obviously had a degen day and registered 82 domains..........cause you wake up with $820 sucked out of paypal one day lol.

F**K I just bought 2 more! I'm going to the pub now to stop the rot.

I've got some sick ones today tho, personal favorites are:

    playbingogame dot org
    playbingoformoney dot co.uk
internetcasinobonus dot co.uk (the .org of this sold for $100 the other day on PAL and when i check the .co.uk was still there so I bought it for reg fee.)

I moved all the domains I am keeping to NameCheap. I am letting all the ones in my Godaddy account expire.

I also figured out how to turn off auto renew on them all which helps.

I also moved the domains from those random registrars that are auto opened from winning auctions and charge $50+ for renewal.

Tomorrow ill finally be a free man. Couple months ago I noticed that I had over 130 domains of which 100 didn't have site on them and I didn't really even have a real plan on ever making a site on them. This really started getting on my nerve for some reason. So what followed was selling majority of the domains (bunch of them way below the market value), creating a site on few of them (and at the same time getting rid of some of my small exsisting sites) and honestly just deleting bunch of them. (i felt like god when I found out that you can actually just delete the domains and you don't have to transfer them to someone or let them expire).

So anyway after tomorrow I will have a site on every single one of my domains and I feel so good about not having to worry about what ill do with the empty domains. Because of this I have also promised myself that no matter I won't be buying any new domains in the coming months.
