Time To Get Serious

Some of you that read my personal blog know this pretty exciting news for myself, but I recently bought my first house. Well I bought a lot and am working with a builder that my dad sells homes for to build my house.
It was a tough decision to make with the way the industry is heading right now, but I figured I was better off paying a mortgage for a house I own than paying the same amount in rent at the apartment I'm at. I know there are other expenses with owning a home that will add up, but I'm also having my girlfriend move in and pay rent monthly to cover those costs.
After a couple pretty solid months to start off the year, last month was my worst month of 2011 and it worries me a little bit. I guess with 85% of my income being sports betting it is pretty normal during the summer months though.
Either way the industry is suffering as a whole, and I'm not too sure which programs I can trust at the moment, if any.
I've started venturing off into new areas, and although I haven't had much success yet, I think I can find some other ways to make money. I'm full time as an Internet Marketer now and it is time to get serious.
One of my main projects I will be working on my Women's Fat Loss product and trying to figure out a way to make it profitable. It sucks having to pay for traffic and losing money, but I think if I start testing everything I can make it profitable. I am guessing the sales video is the problem right now as I didn't spend much time on it (just wanted to get the thing live).
Another project I've talked about for a bit now is my Buying Workout Supplements guide. It was in the sandbox for a while, but now looks to be out (hopefully for good?). I've actually made a couple affiliate sales with only 1-4 visitors per day when ranking. I figure if I turn that into a decent site with supplement reviews and a lot of solid content I could make a couple thousand per month down the road.
I don't think I'd ever want to leave the sports betting industry completely, but I do know that I can't have all of my eggs in one basket.
Gambling and health/fitness are two things that aren't ever going away I don't think, so they are pretty good niche's to be involved with (and I'm passionate about both).
Another thing with the women's fat loss product is that you are actually helping someone out, and when you get thanked over and over it feels pretty good. I had also been interested in being a personal trainer but hated science in school, so being able to help women lose weight through an online program is pretty cool.
I'm rambling here, but just wanted to give a little update with where I'm at, and hopefully I can actually start making some decent money in other niche's.
Summer is so tough to sit down and work, but with purchasing a house it looks as if I need to do it. Have a good summer everyone!
