For those of you who haven't read it, here is Creating a Poker Site Part 1

So like I mentioned in the last post I ended up doing a little bit of work on the site (BestPokerSite.org) this weekend. I worked a bit on on-page SEO, interlinking articles, meta tags, and conversions. I still need to do a couple small things that aren't too important until traffic starts coming in. Which also reminds me, I need to set up Google analytics on the site soon as well.

Now that pretty much everything is ready on the site, I now need to find some traffic. As far as I know the site only has one link pointing to it so far, which was from Randy on his OnlinePokerSEO.com blog (thanks man). My plan this week is to work hard in getting a lot of good quality links pointing towards the sites homepage and maybe a couple inner pages.

How I am going to try and get links:

Link Exchanges - One thing I do with every site is exchange links with other webmasters. This will be done on my "Poker Resources" page which is linked to from every single page of the site. I am also interested in some in content exchanges with my other older sites. Please PM me or hit me up on Skype if you have a site to exchange links with.

Writing Blog Posts For Links - For any of you who have blogs I am guessing you have a hard time always keeping it updated with new posts. I am offering doing some blog posts for poker sites if I can include one link in the post. I am not picky about the link and if you feel you want to change the anchor, change where it is, whatever... I am fine with that. Again contact me if you are interested in free blog post services.

Buying Advertising Space - Although my initial start up money is a little lower than I would like right now, I am probably going to look for some quality places to buy link advertising for the site. PM me if you can sell me a spot.

Social Bookmarks/Directories - Later in the week, once I have some initial links to the site, I am planning on submitting the site to a couple social bookmarking sites and some directories.

Other - I will also be linking to the site from a couple of my websites with in content links. I will ask Jess (TheDonk) if I can submit an article to RSSPoker.com. I also noticed in Grahams signature he has a digg like site for poker that I am going to check out.

So that is all I have written down and planned to do for now. I will most likely add the best bingo site, best casino site and best sportsbook site pages later in this week too. I will make a blog post sometime this week on the progress I have made.
