February = Big Month For Sports Betting Affiliates

Am I right? I've only been doing sports betting affiliating for less then a year (and like 6 months serious)... but it seems to me that February should be maybe the biggest month of the year for sports betting sites and affiliates.

Of course the main event that should bring in a ton of betting is the Superbowl. Superbowl 44 is this Sunday (Feb.7th) and it is the biggest sports betting event of the year (Is that world wide or just North American? I'm not sure). Even if you run lets say a soccer portal and have a bunch of sports bettors, I am sure you will see some cross over bets on the Superbowl and hopefully some revenue. I should be in a decent position as I have a sports betting news types site that I have been writing Football articles for all year, and recently got up my Bet on Superbowl 44 mini site to try and take advantage of some Superbowl traffic.

Another big event in February is of course the Winter Olympics which starts mid February. Obviously I haven't been around long enough to see if the Olympics is a big betting event, but I am hoping since it is world wide it is somewhat big. I have created a hit or miss Bet on Winter Olympics resource to kind of test the waters. Obviously the Winter Olympics only come around once every 4 years so this is a realllllly focused niche site that will probably only get sign ups for like 1 in every 48 months. It will be fun either way, and I will be placing some bets on CANADA in the Olympics.

On top of those two big events there is the NHL and NBA seasons still running and producing sign ups and betting action.

I remember posting a while ago that I wasn't sure what the value was like for sports bettors, but after a couple months I think that it is pretty good. I think it would be smart to take MGR over lets say a $100 CPA (especially if the book has a crossover Casino) for anyone getting into the sports betting affiliating.

For those older sports betting affiliates out there... Is February usually one of the biggest months of the year? Or which month is?

Superbowl is likely just American. We have the World Cup to look forward to this year as the biggest event worldwide.

And here's hoping that people DO bet on the Winter Olympics :P.

And don't forget that it's leading up to March Madness which is a great time of year! (again US based affiliates)

After spending the week in London I was shocked to see how much hype there was for "Americas Game" aka the super bowl.

If you can reach some UK traffic and push the Super Bowl, I think you can convert well.

    Great blog post btw.

Yeah World Cup should be huge this year too... I wish I knew a little more about soccer or should I say "Football" to capitalize on it better.

Yeah would be a great idea. I've never done a partnership before so it'd be something I would have to kind of learn.

If you have an idea feel free to PM me, what I don't know about uk football probably isn't worth knowing.

I saw some guys on the affilaites4u forum do really well out of PPC when one of the England world cup qualifying games was available to watch on Bet365.
