Well, here is the first blog post i have made on the site and it comes after a couple of members here asked me to post it in order to give them a little insight into my experienced and lessons learnt during my time.
Firstly, the reason that i am leaving the industry due to the fall in revenue that the sites i own are making compared to the amount that i used to make per month.
I will be doing a little content providing here and there but my services will be limited due to the fact that i have a full time job lined up and no longer have the time to be able to churn out between 5-10 articles per day.
Okay with that out of the way, the reason that i was asked to write this post.
Lessons that i have learnt
Have one site as your main focus rather than trying to juggle multiple sites until you are happy that your site can function on minimum input from yourself.
Don't try to break into the niche if you don't have some revenue behind you. I did this thinking that due to my willingness to create the content myself and simply use a template with minimal alterations.
Link building - The niche offers one of the hardest niche to be able to obtain quality links, obviously everyone is trying for the same keyword terms and so trying to get the exact keyword term can be increasingly hard.
Don't look for the industry to carry you through your times of need - Online poker rooms are quickly altering their deals that are seeing us affiliates have to find stronger players in order to make the same amount of money.
CPA or Profit Share - I always opted for CPA due to targetting new players to the game but after catching up with a number of the players that i referred, they are firmly seated within the $5/$10 tables these days so i sold out cheaply there.
That's all i have time for at the moment.
Thanks and good luck all.
