Life of an Affiliate Wife
For those of you who don't know who I am, I am Randy's (Ridge) wife. Randy has been in the poker affiliate business for several years now. I can't recall how many times I have said, "And why exactly are we paying $500 for that?" But I guess it has all worked out. It has been an interesting road to say the least. The kids and I know that we need to just get back out of the way when we hear the words "Oh my God I've just blown my site up!" (This is a PG version of the words that actually spill out of his mouth
) That happens a lot.
Randy has begged me for years to quit my job and stay home to help him. This year I got so frustrated at my job working for the state that I took him up on his offer. You should see my huge white board with all the tasks that Randy thinks I should be able to complete everyday. I have found that writing articles is a lot more fun that I thought it would be. I have even started writing some articles for some of the other poker affiliates on this forum. Randy swears that the articles I write will make us money someday, but it seems way more rewarding to me to just be able to get paid as soon as I complete the articles.
I have ventured out into some of my own websites. Randy has to help me with them of course, but I am catching on pretty quickly. We have a series of Twilight sites and a textbook site. I have ideas for more sites if I could ever get Randy to set them up for me so that I can start working on them. The one thing that I have noticed with this affiliate stuff is there is never enough hours in the day to do all of the things that need to be done.
Randy has promised me that we will be the best husband and wife affiliate team ever someday, but I think that we might kill each other before we make it to that point
. j/k
I will try to update as we go. So far, it has been a very interesting and educating experience.

Oh hell no! LOL - I still have a regular job and go to my office 5 days a week. I'm luck enough that I can juggle the too, and now with her helping its really taken a load off and made us more productive.Originally Posted by Graham Welcome to the site... I agree that I think it is a risky play spending that much time together, especially with work related stuff, but good luck with that!
If all goes well and we continue to have record income months, I want to pay off the new house and retire from corporate life once and for all.
I will say this, my wife and I have always been joined at the hip. We have been together over 10 years and we love the same things, laugh at the same things, etc. I don't think we could get tired of each other. (unless I'm broke then I'll be out the door
