Well, as some of you all know. We have had a nasty ice storm here in central Arkansas, and it has been totally miserable, especially for my kids (6).

I want everyone to know how cool my wife is, she is the rock of this family and we are all so lucky to have her.

In the last 12 months our little town has been hit with:
  • March 2008 - Tornado
  • April 2008 - Snow Storm
  • May 2008 - Flood
  • June 2008 - Flood
  • August - Tropical Depression
  • September 2008 - Tropical Depression
  • Jan. 2009 - Ice Storm (yeah, I need to move)
Looking at that list, I may have some dates wrong, but you get the idea. Each one of those dates listed had a power outage of at least 1 week or more. Luckily we have a good generator which allows us to feel somewhat normal. This time though, we actually lost water for a day which seem just crazy..

Now, since this is an affiliate website and blog, this is all related to being an affiliate marketer. The great thing about having a good network of websites in and out of gaming is that I don't have to be anywhere or do anything to make money. So even if I am out of power and away from my office I am still making money!

I cannot think of too many jobs that literally ANYONE can do that relates. If you are an affiliate and reading this, take a second and say to yourself "I love this job, I am super lucky".

I would think it's time to find a less volatile area to reside in?

Hey Randy, you should move north to Rockford! I 100% agree though in respect to this being the best field of work to be in. Give me a laptop, power, and an internet connection and I can work from anywhere on the planet.

Those terrible weather events must be getting frustrating. But you made an excellent point about our business and it's flexibility. It reminds me of a Jay-Z lyric that goes like this "Momma ain't raised no fool; Put me anywhere on God's green earth, I'll triple my worth!"

P.S. I had one of my best vacations in Branson, MO! Probably not far from you. And yes I did "ride the ducks"!

LOL, yeah I want to move. My office is 45 minutes from here anyway. We own our house and 10 aches here though and we are in love with this place. But we cannot take too much more of this shit. We are on Day 7 with no power.

I've never been to Branson, its about 3 hours from here. Supposed to be the next big place to be.. no gambling though, so I'll head to Tunica instead.
