Hiya,

I think this is a good post post. Take 3 minutes to read it.

Here are some lessons I have learned from business and adapted to poker affiliating. If you follow them, I am sure you will be on your way to being successful in affiliating or any other endeavor.

Always be a Beginner
As the zen quote says: "In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, in the expert's there are few". This is true in poker affiliating. Never stop learning. Always stay a beginner. The moment you stop learning, people will catch up, and take your slice of the pie.

Challenge Your Knowledge
When people reach a level of success they stay stuck. They don't want to change a winning formula. But knowledge is like a ladder. You need to let go of the step you are on, revisit your strategies, to get to the next level. Realize you know nothing, no matter your results, and you will be on your way up in no time.

Success is Connecting the dots
Don't label people or strategies. Instead, look for the best in people. Everyone has something different to offer. Success comes from observing qualities in others and connecting them to create a "Story". It might be combining a template from Pokerprop with some excellent content from MPC and SEO advice from Randy. Keep your eyes open and don't label things, because labels are limiting.

Surround yourself with Success
Choose friends that have an open and positive attitude. This will permeate and open possibilities for you. Avoid people that judge or have a defeatist "nothing works" attitude. In Silicon Valley, there is no bigger turn-off than people who say a project is "impossible".

Whether you think your new project will work or not, you're right
Everything is possible if you believe in your success. This quote is actually inspired from a lady who is in her late 60s and runs marathons. She started running them at 52. She says: "whether you think you can do something or not, either way you're right". Oftentimes a website fails because we decide it will fail.

Share Your Closest Strategies
The more you give to people, the more you will receive in return. In my experience, bouncing ideas off people overcompensates for the EV that you lose in the process.

Past performance is not indicative of future results
Never rest on your laurels, because the Google algorithm is volatile. Your time should be spent adding strategies to your toolbox, increasing your knowledge, to face the inevitable swings with confidence.

Your success will only go as far as the depth of your network
Networking is everything in business and the same is true in affiliating. Make a lot of friends. Ultimately, they will allow you to connect the dots and be successful.

It all comes down to common sense
Common sense is arguably the most important quality that you will need. Use strategies from your toolbox intelligently, avoiding extremes. Extremes comes with penalties.

Listen
The most successful people spend most of their time listening.

That's it for now, hope you liked.
