So one of the people who used to work for me running our live poker league became interested in internet marketing after coming over to the office and learning about the things I did to make income online. Long story short is she has carved out a niche for herself and is no doing very well selling a course she created to help people who don't have much money do things that can generate income through free and cheap means online. Kinda like bum marketing on steriods...

Long story short, I convinced her to buy some precious metals and she convinced me to try a simple technique she learned to harvest your email lists. I figured it was a fair trade.

Now, harvesting our email list has always been a weakness of ours, so I figured what the hell... she finally listened to me and bought some silver so i figured I would listen to her and try this "4 day cash machine" email technique even though it seemed kinda spammy.

The Technique - this is designed for those who have a product to sell, and ideally a digital product. The simple answer is, offer an incredible sales price and offer it for four days only. In this situation I'm selling our online Poker Dealer School, aka "Dealer-Training.com".

The Steps - Email your list once for four days in a row.

The first email explains the offer, it's benefits and calls the users to action to buy the product. The remaining three emails are just reminders and a countdown to the product sale expiring. I spent a couple hours writing these four emails yesterday and loaded them into aweber.

What I did
Set the sales price of Dealer-Training.com at 75% off. We normally sell it for $197 and this is being offered for only $49. Pretty significant savings to someone who might be looking for a way to learn the art of poker dealing.

Next I wrote the email series. So I turned it live and blasted it out to our list who was specifically signed up for more information on the course.

We are 1 day in it so far and we have had at 17.5% open rate, a 5.8% click thru rate and an a 1 in 6 conversion rate of people who click thru from the email.

So far I'm, pretty pleased with the results and will be interested to see if sales pick up or slow down as the end of the sale comes near.

We've got 3 more days to go so we'll see how it goes. If any aff's want in, you can affiliate for it through clickbank.com marketplace. The product is called Deal Poker At Casino Standards & Make Money. (bottom of the page at the moment)

wish me luck, I got Vegas to pay for!

uhh, it could be... it is from some course she paid like 2k for. i honestly don't know. pretty much she just told me it is what i listed above, 4 emails in a row ticking down the sale.

I googled it and saw some videos, that name sounds familiar. I didn't read an actually layout of how to do it or read the course, just the idea behind it.

Good stuff Jason, email stuff has always been int he back of my mind to do. I have a nice set of email lists, and when I do use them it goes well, but I'm lazy and so busy all the time. Piss poor excuse eh?

    Keep us updated!

I actually learned quite a bit from some of the promotion videos of the 2.000$ course.

I don't really know what the "4 day cash machine is", but Frank Kern is pretty damn good at selling stuff. I would probably have bought the course if it were 1.000$ - And I'm not in the habit of buying "online courses".

Ah Jason this is pretty awesome man. I really like how you are doing a case study here at PAL and sharing the results! Thanks and let us know how it turns out

Ok, so this turned out, what I would consider fairly successful.

The total conversion rate was 3.5%. Sold 4 figures worth of ebooks over the weekend. Not too shabby.

I will def be trying this technique again sometime in the future. Now to go change all my prices back to the regular $197.

    Vegas here I come!
