Last month we tried a campaign called the 4 day cash machine. I blogged here about it, you can read that blog post here if you wish. Short answer is it's a 4 day email series selling our virtual poker dealing school.

I posted the case study results on my poker affiliate site a couple weeks ago but didn't post here on pal that I had posted the results. Instead of copying it here, you can see the 4 day cash machine case study results over at my poker affiliate blog.

Anyone else got any innovative ways I could market our poker dealing course? I'm all ears as it's pretty much pure profit when it sells.

Hey Spry, I have a good mailing list I'd like to try something like this on, do you have a sub program? Hit me on PM or something. I checked out the results on your blog last week, very impressive stuff. Would love to hear more about how you actually executed this thing

I sell it through clickbank, so anyone can sub for it...

    50% commissions.

    ClickBank Marketplace - ClickBank

Currently at #9 there, just look for the title 'Deal Poker At Casino Standard & Make Money.

let me know if you want anything special done for your traffic or if you want a review copy.

oh more about how i did it... i wrote 4 emails.

    1. Announce the huge sale. We have sold the course for just under $200 for 5 years now. We just put it on sale at $49 for this sale, and offered it for 4 days. (i've reduced the price back to $49 now to test different price points. I'm about to bump it back up to around $77 to see if sales go up or down.

    2. email 2 reminded them of the sale and told them there are 3 days left only.

    3. email 3 reminded them again and gave today and tomorrow left only. I also only linked to the buy now page from this email and it converted strongly.

    4. email 4 final day for the sale, ends at midnight etc etc.

Randy I know you have a forum of poker players... one of the best ways poker players get better (especially at live poker) is through table experience. If these guys learn to deal at casino standard they can grow their bankroll (risk free) while improving their game through dealing. It worked for Fischman, Johnny Chan, Layne Flack and some others... might be a good angle to attack your list with.

Ah sweet and great idea. Hit me up and get me a review copy, I have a nice mailing list that converts well, combine that with the forum guys, I think this will be fun.

    Thanks

    Thanks for posting this Jason.

    I love posts like this!

I've looked for some local search terms for card related jobs, and it looks promising.

Can i send direct traffic through ppc?

Only problem is terms are costing $2 or so per click, and with this only making me $25 or so I can't see their being any profit in it... any advice?

hmm, im totally open to giving a higher percentage to affiliates if a handful want to try promoting. at the current price point you'd certainly lose money with PPC.

I am about to bump the price up to around $77, then test again at a higher price point to see which gets the best ROI. (something we should have been doing all along but we just sold it for $197 until now).

Also, we used to do google ppc for the program successfully but they bitchslapped us down about 2 years ago or so even though there is no gambling ads anywhere on the page / site. A fresh account with someone who understands ppc could probably work this in no problem, assuming we can get the ppc cost/commission worked out.

Honest, at $2 per click it seems unlikely this would be profitable... if the organic competition isn't tough maybe a page or two on a related site or something? feel free to pm any questions / ideas.
