As many of you know by now, i have decided to stop playing poker professionally and venture into the competitive world of poker affiliate marketing. I have outlined a plan of what i want to do and this blog will be like a success journal along the way.
I was debating whether i wanted to start this blog here or on a fresh domain. I opted for here, simply because i have learnt a ton from the members of this community and would love to give something back. I hope it opens doors for me to make new connections with lots of new exciting people. So without further ado, this is my plan.
Ive run a personal blog called BadVariance.com for a while, its currently just a collection of my articles in a rather random and scatterd format. Over the last year ive gained a few backlinks, a dmoz listing, some pagerank and created a decent amount of content on the site. My plan for the site is to turn it into a free poker training portal.
My business model will be based around helping others gain success and providing them with great poker training to do so. I will start off by offering training articles, i feel like my experience playing professionally will allow me to write better articles and differentiate myself from other writers. Instead of adding fluff, i plan to add value and make a difference in my viewers lives.
If i can do that, in turn i will hopefully generate links, subscribers and a following, then i will be able to generate a profit by offering my community rakeback deals and bonus offers.
I have had a layout designed by a talented designer, here are some of the samples, id love to hear your feedback:

I have some other plans for the future as well, after i have built a comprehensive archive of articles on all topics, i will venture into offering free poker training videos. On top of that i have plans for writing a e-book and selling that to my subscribers in the future.
Again, if anyone has any comments on my plan, the layout, suggestions or criticisms, you are welcome to add them to the comments. Ive learnt a great deal from these forums and hope to continue the learning in the future.
Take care,
- Andy
