Building Links To My Online Bingo Website

So i have started working on a new online bingo site. Right now im trying to iron out a plan on how to build links to it. In the past i have had sites sandboxed for building too many anchor text rich links to a site too quickly. I dont want to make that mistake. So i have devised the following plan, what do you guys think of it?

Directory links - First thing is first i am going to look up my competitors links and copy all of the directory links they have got. I am not going to try and optimize for a specific anchor, i am just going to get links to a wide variety of anchors and my site name.

Blog commenting - I'm going to look over my competitors links and copy the blog comments they have. This shouldnt take you too long, it takes a few seconds to read a post and contribute a comment.

Guest posts - This is where my edge comes in, i will look for blogs to guest post on. They dont have to be 100% relevant. So gambling affiliate blogs, games blogs, womens blogs etc are all fair game when it comes to the bingo niche.

Article marketing - Ill write article and submit them to the best article directories to get backlinks. I will get backlinks to both my bingo homepage and the inner bingo review pages. For example, to my JackpotJoy bingo review page or my Rollover Bingo page.

What other ways do you think i could go about link building in this niche?

Sounds like linkbuilding from 2009 to be honest.

I would get social media into your list and make it a priority. The rest, well, I'd be looking to change my planning a bit. Read some SEO blogs. You'll get some good ideas....

What is the unlucky number to get sandboxed by Google? I'm sure it depends so just a general number for reference.

Anything automated in volume is the unlucky number. Makes sense as well, they dont want you to do that.

Is that why IAutomator releases a link every day or every few days?

Squizzel the site looks awesome, seriously. Not sure if you're open to feedback, but the only way to make money with a site like this is to either advertiser or spam. I think me, you, and everyone else here know this site provides marginal (if any) value to anyone but the affiliate operating it. in order to build links what I'd do is suggest changing that. What might a bingo player be interested in. Have there been scams, is one site horrible right now? is someone slow paying? how about the history of some bingo site, how about some juicy gossip about someone or another, the founder of a bingo site, some celebrity involved with one whatever, what can your site do different than no one else is doing. What investigative journalism can you do. (heck a law firm in a small niche once got a ton of links because they found out their competitors founder stabbed his mother to death twenty-something times in another country, got released and now practices law here *actually happened, true story on all accounts, and back links were like mad, and it was a much smaller firm breaking this story which turned out to be 100% fact*). Now other ideas might be to broaden it, what similar demographics do people who love bingo also take an interest in. How can you cover that while covering bingo.

Once you have "wow" content, next all you need to do is ask. what other sites will link to this great story in exchange for a "cool thanks, I owe you one"?

    Seriously though, great looking site

Pretty sure everything you are doing is a lesson in how not to link build, you won't ever learn will ya - see ya in the sandbox!
