Right, I've decided to turn over a new leaf,

After playing freerolls for a couple of years, and gradually getting confidence and experience, I played in my first few real money local tournaments recently, and won my first big return on Wednesday night.

After struggling through the first few tables I made the final table, got a few good cards and raised aggresively and made it to the final 2. Having only half the chips I had to call a few times with 9J - caught a straight - phew, and A7 suited, but finally got caught by a 10 on the river, giving him the pair and 1st place, and me 2nd place.

Still £260, a good return for my £40 in, so I'm more than happy, I don't expect that to happen again, if I can get there to play sometime, but good fun, and I'll not be scared by the concept again.

So lets see if I can raise my game on-line and start taking some real money from some of you chumps!
