What i dont understand as a new casino affiliate here: Is it normal for programs to let you remove a player by request if the player is winning big?

Personally i wouldnt ask for that anyway as i will not promote any casinos with negative carryover.

Really it depends on the relationship you have with your operator and Account Manager. If you are promoting a program that has a negative carry-over and your AM knows that you will stop promoting them because you are still in the negative, they might approach you to say that they can take that said player off your list, this is so that you will continue to send them traffic.

Personally I would never promote a negative carry-over casino as If you have a negative month it can drag on beyond that if your players keep winning, whereas you could be promoting another brand without these terms and hope to make some money.

Many affiliates won't promote programs with NC. That is probably smartest lol. I did use this program in this case because it's a good reputable casino for players and the aff manager is great. I had a good run with them for over a year but this is bound to happen sooner or later. I knew that but it doesn't make it less of a dilemma. I could remove the player, remove the casino or keep the player but drop them down from prime real estate.

I already know I won't remove the player. Pretty stubborn about that.

Lol, i dont understand what options you are looking for then Mojo. If you wont ask to have the player removed there are only two options as i see it?? Keep promoting them as usual and eventually conquer the negative balance or lower their positions / stop promoting them. Not promoting them as usual may not be a good choice for your future earnings if you have many players signed up on the site

Yes, you are correct Stiankr. Not so much looking for options, more like a dilemma on which one to use and learn what others would do. Also to open discussion for those that may not be familiar with NC's.

The way I see it I can:

    1. drop them
    2. keep them where they are
    3. move them to lesser positions

or 4. remove player which for me is not an option but maybe would be for other affiliates.

    Hi Mojo,

With the requirements of credit card processors today(keeping chargebacks low), when a player chargebacks, the casino will usually disable that players account.

It's too dangerous for a casino to keep an active chargeback player playing at the casino. If they make a few more deposits, and then lose - it becomes easier and easier for them to ring up the bank, and dispute the charges.

In your situation, and your player - if the player is a whale, I'm sure the player knows the descriptor of the casino they have played at, when they charges were made, and the amounts. eg.. on your statement seeing 5 x transactions of $100 is going to recall that they made those deposits.

I'd contact the casino, ask if the player is still allowed to play or not - I'm sure they will tell you.

Or you can ask the casino to raise your % for a couple of months so you can weather the storm, keep them in that position on your sites?

Good points everyone and I understand what you're saying about not dropping the player. Well, I guess I understand that if they allow this player to continue playing, but if they don't then I would drop them... It would be like a few grand in your pocket no?

It really doesn't make sense to me that a casino would allow you to drop a chargeback player unless they continued to let them deposit and play UNLESS they understand that you are likely to stop promoting them.

Essentially if you have negotiating power now since your already in the hole with this casino... if you wanted to keep them going I would ask for a temporary better deal to get you through the chargeback. Please keep us updated. Interested to see how this goes.

Good negotiating ideas, ty. I didn't think of a higher percentage.

This player may want to come back some day. Whether weeks or months, if at all. I think I would always be wondering if I was loosing out by dropping him. He is a whale. I named him Leonardo DiCaprio. When I am lucky enough to get one, I name them after celebrities LOL.

i think you've answered your own questions in your glowing report for the program.

you should stick it out, remain loyal and as you said , negotiate that loyalty with your am at the appropriate time

    just my thoughts

    cheers
