Default Are bonus codes as popular in the casino vertical as they are in poker?

I think I've probably said it all in the title.

I've been in touch with a few casinos and it seems that relatively speaking most of the casinos don't offer affiliates a bonus/tracking code ... which I think is a good thing.

This seems to be in stark contrast to most poker rooms who are more than happy to dish out bonus codes to whoever asks for them.

Is that pretty much correct? Or have I just not been talking to enough casinos?

Ive noticed that casinos that give me personal bonus codes convert better then ones with generic ones.

Its easiest to get bonus codes from casinos running on rtg software, Such as Clubusa, mainstreet, cplanet , these will give you bonus codes upon request, also for party casino you can create your own.

This may be true across all verticals in gaming. Customized bonus codes are great for sure; however if you're working with a casino who doesn't offer them (like TowerGaming) then a landing page is an equivalent which is most likely just as effective (or more so) than a bonus code.

Ask around but yes, any customized is going to convert better.

I agree it converts better. I love anything personalized to my site. It helps players remember your name and come back.

Thanks for your thoughts on this then.

To take things one stage further then, do you feel that casino players are specifically looking for a good bonus when they sign up? Or are they more motivated by searching for a particular game, and then going with your recommendation?

I guess I'm just trying to figure out whether a domain with a good keyword like 'bonus' in it is as valuable in the Casino vertical as it is in the poker vertical?

Players are looking for everything. Many want the biggest bonus but some don't take a bonus at all. In fact, some players don't like that a bonus is automatically added to their accout.

I had a search yesterday for 'how to get the bonus round at xxx slot game'. I forget the game now but games help. Or some may be looking for a specific bonus like blackjack bonus.

There are so many variables that it's difficult to cover them all. Maybe focus on what you want to target on your main page and then add other categories as you build. Of course when you are done with that there will be more. Like mobile games and live dealers that I haven't really done much with yet.
