Default Casinos and gaming for dummies

OK, in follow on to Mojos poker for dummies, heres my casinos for dummies!

I am thinking of taking a dip in your pool, i have a few ideas of what i think i want to do and my way forward however, ...

How do you make money from this?

Where do you get your trafffic from?

How on earth is a new site going to get a foothold in google, yahoo and the likes?

Do you get sponsored by programs at all?

I mean there is so many of you, there are sites so old they seem to have been around since before the tinternet! What chance is there of getting better rankings than these sites?

Maybe a little tongue in cheek questions, however, valid all the same.

Come on in Chalkie, the water's fine.

There are a few ways to make money. Rev share and cpa is self explanitory. Then there is wager share. Which you earn from a percentage of the wagers as opposed to deposits/losses like rev share. So if a player hits and is having a good day they could wager a million+. Of course the % is much lower on WS. An advantage of WG is that you can't lose it at the end of the month. It's guarenteed.

Traffic is very competitive. Find your niche and target that. Content is key when targeting specific searches. There is plenty of traffic out there.

To get a foothold is not fast and easy. This is a long term investment and the rewards can be great. Keep plugging and it'll be like Christmas when you see yourself appear in the searches like magic!

Most places will sponser. It's difficult for newbies as casinos want to see performance first. Catch 22. There are so many affilaites that casinos have to choose who to sponser. Not to say it can't be done. A well worded persuasive letter can go a long way.

You may not be able to outrank the older larger sites but keep building and you will be one of them.
