    Default I have a proposition

I am pretty much a noob to poker/casino affiliating. I would like to think that I have a decent grasp on seo. I have bought 3 domain names, one on blackjack, one on craps, and one on Roulette. I have a list of 5-8 keywords I am targeting for each site via the google keyword tool. I have uploaded wordpress and am in the process of beginning to add content and the like on my sites. I'm in school right now but I'll be done in a week and I'll have 6+ hours a day to work on my 3 casino sites and 3 sites in other niche's.

Anyways I am more then willing to sign on as a sub affiliate under you to a casino affiliate program. Preferably the casino affiliate program would be well known, have great support/good track record, and would have no negative carry over. Also the casino has to obviously have blackjack, roulette, and craps as options and it must accept US players. I won't be making you much money in the beginning, but from what I see within 3-6 months I should be generating some cash if what I read is accurate.

In return I want about 30 minutes of your time a week. I'd like reviews of my sites every now and then, general tips/guidance, your personal story. Maybe you could even find a way to link to me . You get the satisfaction of helping a noob and should get a decent cash flow of sub-affiliate earnings in the future.

Sorry to make this such a long winded post but to tell you the truth I am absolutely thrilled about my future in this industry and we will both benefit from this. You can post in this thread, pm me or e-mail me at navechacha@yahoo.com if you're interested. Thanks!
I need to add that I'm only 17 years old so I can't sign up for any sites that must have affiliates who are 18+

I am not 100% sure. But I think you should wait till 18 to sing up for affiliate programs

I really think you are setting yourself up for failure by starting in the gambling business before you are 18. It probably isn't impossible to succeed, but there are a lot of competition, and you will be handicapped by your age - So you will most likely earn more money/time spent in another niche.

I would also imagine that the amount of people, who would be willing to mentor someone under 18 is limited.

I think that's just about the worst advice I've ever heard on PAL/CAL.

I'd give just about anything to have been doing this for an extra 15 years.

I'm curious what you think age has to do with it?

Well personally I think if you have to be 18 to gamble surely you should be the same to promote but I really dont know if thats the case or not

    ....however

I do think the younger the better. Look at some of the affiliates around here who do above average and are well under 25. Furthermore there are a few affiliates who are and still are the "baller affiliate" and they accomplished that well before they hit 21.so age really has nothing to do with it. Its the amount of work you plan on putting into this. If only I had of clued into this stuff when I was posting on poker forums I would've been making money for myself not someone else.

    ....my second however

if your only 17 I think thats awesome that you want to get into online marketing but I also think you should enjoy your teen years...I hope you plan on going back to school.

Since your just starting, I wanted to leave this for you to read of how hard it is to start out, the amount of work your going to have to put into it. The reason Im adding this is because you posted that you feel youll be making decent cash in 3 - 6 mths, and your new (dont know how new). Most new affiliates dont make anything significant for the first 6 - 12 mths because of mistakes they make and the learning process.

Anyway its a really solid article and there are a number of members here who have blogs and stories like this one

Kaus is right. It is not easy and requires a lot of patience.

I wish this was around when I was 17. But that was back when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

I am teaching my son who is 23. He has two sites now. He will also be able to take over mine when I am ready to retire. I feel good that my sites won't drift off after all that work.

My advice to you bowlcutah is to be completely honest about your age to your aff managers so that you know the rules. I'm not sure how long you have until you're 18 but there is lots you can work on in the meantime.

Best of luck to you and if you have questions feel free to ask.

If you are 17 years old, I don't think it is a huge deal if you are starting to dip your feet into the industry. By the time you start making significant money, the odds are that you will be at least 18.

If you find that the casino/poker affiliate market is where you want to work within however, it wouldn't be terrible to start building content and learning however.

Likewise start networking within the industry and getting to know successful affiliates and what they are doing both successfully and unsuccessfully.

Thanks for the good responses guys. I'll actually be 17 in August, so I still have 14 months until I'm 18. I don't think my age will be a huge deal for two reasons:
    1. It will probably take me around 14 months to get a good bit of traffic anyways from what I hear.
    and
    2. I don't have to be signed up with an affiliate program to make money with my sites. I can sell advertising on my sites, I can sell links, I could sell the sites themselves if I wanted to, so I'm not going to let my age hold me back.

I'm starting up 3 casino sites, one on blackjack, one on Roulette, and one on Craps and my goal is to have at least 100 good content filled pages for each site by the end of my summer break, in mid August. I figure that it will be a lot easier to get links, trade links... if my site is huge and full of good content.

Wow 16. It does put a slightly different light on things for me. There is a rather sinister dark side to online gambling and the predators in this area. You sound like a very smart kid. But even more seasoned affiliates and webmasters can find themselves in a bad spot due to a bad deal.

If you are determained, please check here for advice and guidance. In the USA there are laws about buying/selling and otherwise contracting with minors. You may want to do some reasearch on that as well.

Do your parents know you are starting this venture?
