Long time poker affiliate here. Started dabbling in the casino side of things late 2007, and a couple months back landed what I would consider a whale. This month, we were all setup for a nice 5-figure payday ... until yesterday.

We went from +xx,xxx in affiliate revenue

to ... -xx,xxx

I think I need to just stop looking at stats altogether until the end of the month.

Actually dude you might want to count your blessings it happened at the end of the month, you might have a NICE suprise come next month if he loses it all back.

Happens sometimes with casinos.
Hopefully he wins a lot more today, and the casino does not carry over the negative. Next month you will earn on all his winnings.

Ive taken some big swings over the years , but they all lose it back.

I know you feeling bad as you were happy to be expecting xxxxxx, but just hope he loses it all back next month and you might make double.

For all you new casino affiliates, its always a good idea to have 2-3 months income on the side, as you never know when a big winner will wipe your month out. For those of you with your players more spread out over a larger number of casinos, the risk is not that big, as even if one program gets wiped you still earn from the others.

having a whale win big once in a while is good....they start playing more and only remember the time they won the big one and it motivates them to keep playing hoping that it will happen again....and in due course they will lose back anything they won plus a whole lot more...

I love to see a big winner right at the end of a month when we are working with a no neg carryover. It's like you just hit that jackpot. They never (hardly ever) cash it out. They seem to not really like the money, they like the winning. Works for me.

I think I probably should have paid more attention to a few of the posts here at CAL listing quality programs that don't carry over negatives.

I've got a couple of sites each way (negative carry v wipe clean) ..

Even at my bigger accounts - I still can get a negative amount (say) two months out of 12. This may take a further 2 months earnings to wipe off - so it's like I'm only actually earning 8 months from 12.

So I'd say a 30% no negative deal is worth as much as 45%-50% negative carry-over ... and if you are really unlucky it could wipe you out for a longer period.
