What do slots players want?

Evening everyone - Ive been dong a bit of a brainstorm this evening and figured I may as well get you involved

I'm working one new slots site and trying to come up with content for the home page. I'm trying to decide what to put at the top of the page especially, so I figured I'd throw it out to the forum. What do you think slots players are looking for? What should go in that top third of the page to really drive clicks?

Is it:
- Bonuses
- Promotions
- Free Games
- Jackpot sizes
- Something totally different?

If you want to know what slot players want, I think the best thing you could do is spend some time on an active casino forum and read the posts.


*sorry if that's not the answer you were looking for. I think each person is different. There are loads who want free stuff...others that prefer jackpots, some that want answers to specific questions, some looking for bonuses. If it was me, I would summarize certain bits and link to pages that explain those areas in more depth. Basically showoff the best pages of your site, and adjust from there once you see some traffic.

As a slots player, it's all about the slot games themselves - most deposit/welcome offers are quite similar in my opinion.

I'd agree with that - when reviewing slots at least i find i'm far more likely to give a game a good write up if the bonus features offer something i haven't seen before or just generally something that is good fun. A high house edge can be forgiven if the game's great fun!
