    Sure, but they control the minority of the world's search queries. There is no doubt however that dash domains have way less value and I would never click one myself. I would be surprised if you ever turn this in to more than $100 lifetime revenue. Who knows, maybe you'll acquire a solid PR on a fluke and make some good link sales though.

    From experience, ranking #1 will net you around 30,000 exact match uniques a month and tons of long-tails.

    It's not the most profitable long tail, but still very nice to have in a portfolio of terms you are targeting.

    Also following the BlackFriday events: the interpretation of "how to play poker" slightly changed and now includes folks trying to figure out how to play poker now, as opposed to folks learning the rules. I distinctly noticed the change last year (with new longtail modifiers), which made the term more profitable.

    So I don't think it as clear cut as this longtail sucks, or is gold. Keyword values also changes depending on context.

    I'd rate it as a fairly good keyword to build a very large player base slowly with residual CPAs every month, but that domain with dashes sucks.
