    Default Playoff Changes?

    Hey Everyone,

So someone brought to my attention that the playoffs are gay. I agree. It was supposed to be 8 teams (since we have 16).

I can make the change now. I am going to let majority rule.

Going to let the poll decide.

Yea having 4 teams in the championship and the next 4 in a pointless consolation pool is extremely gay. There's really no point in having playoffs if only 4 teams out of 16 have a chance to play for 3 money spots at the end.

Just saying, the way the playoffs should work is that Seed 1 plays Seed 8, Seed 2 plays Seed 7, etc.

I vote yes, 8 teams in the playoffs.

As a person in the top 4, I would rather it be just 4 teams but I am totally fine without it becoming 8.

What is the payout structure? Does the winner of the league get anything?

As another in the top 4, I would prefer it to stay at 4 teams.

However, I wouldn't have a problem with a change to 8 teams if that's what people prefer. If you do make the change, can you start the playoffs earlier so week 17 won't be part of the playoffs?

I think you should keep it as is. I think it might have changed some people strategies if they knew 8 teams would made.

I'm not even in the playoffs either way, but I think it is a little unfair to change the rules now for the people in the top 4. I agree there should be 8 teams in the playoffs, but it should have been done a lot sooner to make it fair...

I agree with Tom above that it CAN'T INCLUDE WEEK 17 (due to players off for rest, etc...) and all the meaningless games.

Therefore it would have to start NEXT WEEK if the playoffs were changed to 8.

Should have been done at the start of the season or after the first couple weeks so that teams knew well ahead of time.

I am ok either way - as I may or may not make the playoffs with 4...but it is kinda weird to do that now.

I'm not a big fan of changing things this late in the season, though I would prefer to not be playing the most meaningful game of the year in week 17 (when lots of starters are riding the pine). Not that I'll actually be playing in that game...

Either way is fine with me. I wish we would have noticed the playoff schedule at the beginning of the season though, oh well. (poor planning) I guess I've just never played in a fantasy league with 16 teams where only the top 4 make the playoffs.

I definitely would have payed closer attention to my team the past few weeks if I knew 8 made it.... It would have been better, but the rules need to be set at the start of the league.
