Google Analytics Accuracy

This post is with regards to visitors who view 1 page and leave the site. My time on site statistics are not accurate for these visitors. 100% of my 1 page visitors are showing 0:00 time on site. This is from a sample size showing thousands of 1 page visitors. I'm certain this isn't accurate, there are some good pages in question and I know they are getting read.

Curious if this is just me or others see the same thing? Any other inaccuracies that you know about?

It does not show time spent unless they view two or more pages.

GA has a reputation of under reporting traffic.

It's not so much a reputation as it is the nature of the beast. GA tracks via JavaScript and 100% of visitors don't browse with js enabled.

Also look into setting Custom variables to track time spent on a particular page. I'll try to dig the info up but I'm replying from my phone.

True, although it's better these days than it was in the past. I think it's something like 95% now have script enabled.

I simply use Google Analytics for monthly visitor figures. For a complete breakdown of EVERY SINGLE visitor on your site, how many pages they visited, which ones, who referred them, etc. I use a free program called AddFreeStats.
