What would you like to see on PAL?

Hey Guys, it's time for some spring cleaning and launch of some pretty cool new things. I've been checking out the forums a lot the past couple weeks without posting and have been thinking of what else PAL could add/remove/invent to make the site better. I've got a few ideas but I think it would be awesome to get some feedback from everyone (since it's all our community after all).

Someone suggested some site badges a while back. I really like how GPWA has done this and it's popular there. Most of their sites are casino portals so would you guys like to see what with PAL specifically for Poker?

Another idea is adding more articles and content specifically on 1 topic. I actually think the best place for that is PokerAffiliateUniversity.com but I could be off.

What's everyone think of bringing CAL over to PAL as a sub-section? There are a lot of good post there and plenty to discuss (I'm guilty big time) but we never check it.

Newsletters? Do you guys like the PAL newsletters and would you like to see them more regularly?

Video Blogging - Jeremy really like to talk to himself lol, so this might be a natural addition. Should we open it up and have everyone be able to video blog and drop ideas and site question?

Vegas Meetup, this is definitely happening. This Friday there will be an official announcement on the dates and what's happening so everyone can plan it. Really looking forward to seeing everyone soon for sure!

I'm a big fan of the badges idea! I think I'm not just talking for myself when I say it would be an honor to be certified by PAL and it will be a great step towards becoming a well deserved authority in the industry.

I'll definately keep an eye on those vegas dates

Honestly do not think any major changes are required, its a great community.

Lets have the casino sub-board and maybe a 'childrens' board too... there are a couple of kiddies here who think they know how to interact in a business forum with the grown-ups but actually have no clue, separating them off might bring a few of the more experienced posters + more AMs back into the discussion and add value for all.

Just my grumpy old 2 cents worth!

I agree with you on this Newjabber. Also, apologies as I have been pretty quiet lately. I have been working a lot on a new "non gaming" project. I'll share more in a couple weeks.

All the spammers and hustlers have really bothered the heck out of me lately too. I suppose it's just a natural side effect of having a large marketplace. With that though, as many of you know, I have wanted to professionalize and redo the marketplace for quite some time.

The problem is there are many people that are here for just the marketplace, and vice versa, many that could care less about it. The good news is that I have come up with a remedy for this and it's about 75% complete. Think Flippa.......... we should be ready to roll this out next week. Skype me if you want a preview or more info.

Bottom line in my opinion is that the poker affiliate forums and the marketplace need to be separated.

When it's all said and done, I'd like to see PAL remain a great place for poker affiliate discussions and not be overran by sellers trying to sell content, links, etc. I think most of you will like what's coming up.

Keep the ideas coming and we will get them implemented.

Sounds like some good stuff. I say for starters you hire pokerprop for $250K per year to help sail this bad boy. Afterall the owners of this site are likely rich ballers by now and have better things to do then deal with members like myself. I actually have really good work ethic and am ready to join the dark side upon receipt of $50K and will be the best employee the gambling industry has ever had. I'm sure this is a great deal for you guys so lets just hammer out the details via MSN.

In addition to liking to see $50K wired to my bank account with in 2 week. I'd also like to see something done with CAL. Whatever is best for PAL no opinion on that, but I don't like seeing it as a pathetic sub brand. I say let's build that sucker or absorb it, but not let it sit as it has been.

I'd also suggest cleaning the market place up. Perhaps integrate in the latest feeds to the market place several places in the forum such as side bar, main page and feed it into the new post section, but getting rid of the relaxed post a thread to sell something I think would be a good idea. I say this even as someone who has been active in market place sections since 2005 and bought and sold a ton of shit. It just clutters things up and too many people are here only to sell there stuff. I'd be very okay with it being a paid to list section as well. People want to sell something pay to list it. This way it takes just a few no deals to get rid of strictly market place sellers that peddle junk.

The one exception i might include with my above suggestion is writers. The good writers get long term deals or become affiliates quick enough. The junk ones just get no business and give up so i don't think at this point writters are flooding the forum.

Domain and website sales though could for sure be handled different imo, and it might even increase PAL value for members if PAL charged to list domains and websites for sale.

The other thing is this forum needs new members. There are no where near enough to keep things going. We need better support for newbies that come and better things to attract newbies. The quality of this forum has went down a lot and I hear almost daily on MSN man I am sick of PAL or man that forum makes me tired now etc. There is so little going on here now. Just complaints about this program doing this or that program doing that etc.

Many long time members appear to have moved on. Most are ballers now and have there own stuff to do and a system they've quantified which will make them an unlimited amount of money when applied over and over again. So with that code cracked I don't blame them for focusing on only that. the forums needs a stead flow of new members, and perhaps paid posters to keep strong. Otherwise before long were a market place, complaint and tech support help forum before long.

<3 PAL so no one get me wrong. Just giving some off top of head feedback, and I agree with what many have said in private PAL is really not the same anymore and it is not as interesting as it once was. Hope that changes soon though i think it can.

I'd say a paid marketplace posting is a good idea. A small sum to post would clear out the eMilans of the world.

Badges and certs are cool as well. It would certainly help both parties when exchanging links, working on any sort of deal, and definitely when discussing JV's.

I've been holding onto the domain guysthatlikegirls.com for quite some time waiting for the right person to give it to. You passed the heterosexual test in your response and I like you also enjoy naked woman. If you promise to make a kick ass site off of it I will transfer it to you for free. Otherwise it goes back into the vault with jesuslovescandy.com and other domains no one wanted before me but are destined to become legends when their time comes. Good post, sir and I'll concur more naked woman. Especially of some of the better looking affiliate managers to start.
