Fellow Poker Affiliates,

I would like to introduce you to the newest tool we are launching out to the industry, Gambling Affiliate Auctions -. It has always amazed me at how much commerce gets done in this industry amongst affiliates. I have bought and sold sites on Flippa and the old sitepoint in the past, and whenever I come back to our existing marketplace on PAL, I cringe.

So with that I would like to move the commerce being done in the poker affiliate industry to it's own professional platform, with many more bells and whistles. A standard Vbulletin forum just isn't a good solution for a busy marketplace. My goal is to clean up all the trolls and buy/sell threads on PAL. I want to maintain this community as a resource to discuss affiliate marketing, business, and making money!

Now I preface all this by saying that I am rolling this out to the members in beta mode There are bugs, and this is by no means even near complete. So I'd like to use this thread as the thread to report bugs and request changes or suggestions. I am investing both capital and resources into this marketplace to make it exactly what you guys need. Whatever it takes, we will go there.

We will not take the existing marketplace down until we all agree the time is right. In the meantime though I'd like to ask that you guys start moving your newer auctions and items over to the new platform and perhaps edit your posts with a link to your new listing. Maybe next week we will make it so you can still respond in the old marketplace, but no new posts can be made. We'll play that by ear.

Some of the great features of Gambling Affiliate Auctions are:

• A functioning marketplace

• Ability for auction, BIN, or fixed price listings with multiple products

• Private message and auction notification system

• Full html listings with ability to upload images

• Telesign phone verification system

• Upgradable exposure opportunities

• Integrated feedback system

These are just some of the features we have now. But if there is something you guys want, and it can be done, I will make it happen. Again, please keep in mind, I am putting this up in beta mode so we can get it tweaked exactly how you guys want it. I realize it is still far from perfect.

Eventually we probably will charge for a modest fee for upgrades or listing to weed out the idiots. For now though, once you sign up, you're account will be credited with plenty of credits to get you started.

So there you have it, lets build this thing out together and to the specifications of those of you who buy/sell want it.

Please use this thread to ask questions and report all bugs and feature requests. The lead coder on this is traveling this week but will be following the thread.

Why do the website sales categories only go up to $10k?

The listings table on the front page gets buried underneath the program reviews on the right side of the page.

Will you be moving our sales threads from here to the new marketplace? Please don't say we need to start a new thread....people like me who have testimonials in our sales thread would hate to see them go....

A couple of things I noticed so far:

• I was not able to register an account using Google Chrome (the confirmation msg didn't show when I pressed register and no confirmation email was sent). It worked fine with Internet Explorer.

• When creating a new listing, I kept getting an error message that seemed to be caused by an apostrophe (') in my description text:

Looks good but I only have one suggestion if possible. Can we not use green on green with bold everywhere. Its hard on the eyes - or it is for me with so much green everywhere. (maybe its just me)

I've attached a screenshot with some fiddling I did in firebug. I think a black font on the green background would look nice and only bold the title of the item up for auction

Is this Trust rating= iTrader? That means the trust rating will be updated with the iTrader entries?

I logged in and it all worked fine for the most part.

It did say i need to verify my account first even after verifying it a few times.

Also I could not upload a avatar.

The phone verification worked really well.

All in all a good first trial!!

Keep all this coming, I'll try to do one big post with responses to all these instead of individuals posts to each. Likewise I am making a punch list of everything you guys are putting here.

Also we were having an issue with the email confirmation, so even though it says "check your email" or whatever, I believe you can login without confirming.

Suggested Category:

Services - here someone willing to do this or that or some other thing in exchange for cash can post an auction or BIN price.

Also not so sure you need a $0-$5K and a $5K-$10K (which should actually be $5K+). Perhaps make a sortable feature or display price better in the listing but I'd prefer making it easier to recognize and keeping both these categories together. If you do want to keep them for pricing purposes (though i tend not to like the overall idea for a new site) then make it perhaps a $0-$500 and a $500+ or something like that. At $0-$5K thats a pretty broad range.. The better idea for pricing would be to charge 5 credits if someone lists the BIN at over say $500 and also to require all listings do have a BIN. Not exactly sure but am sure something probably works better than the way it is now.

Adding to my services idea. In time you might actually want to make this a drill down category such as: Graphics, Translations, Coding, Content, Grunt Work and Miscellaneous or something like that. This seems like too many categories for a main section but if sub categories are posible that might work. In which case also a Domains Category (which is actually great for someone interested in all domains) that can be drilled down further too: casino, poker, sports betting, bingo, other gambling would work as well too. Again too much for the home page (main category) but does work if sub categories are an option.
