Default Thinking of starting an online casino

Hi Guys. I'm thinking of starting an online casino. I've researched it reasonably well, and for a reasonable outlay i can get a site made and fully branded by a company that supplies the casino software to alot of the big rooms.

They'll take care of 24 hour live support, payment processing and site maintainance for a 25% cut, leaving me with 75% to work with.

The site will be u.s friendly, and i'll have full control over bonuses and affiliate programmes.

Does anybody have any experience with this type of thing? Would any of you who promote casino be willing to promote the room if i were to do you a good private deal, say 60% and no negative carry over? Any other thoughts? All are welcome.

I would say if you had to make this post, that you are not nearly prepared to start this. You might be underestimating just how costly it will be (to make money, anyway).

My advise, do some more research. Contact some people and see how much it's costing them to run their online casino. Always better to overestimate your costs than to underestimate them.

I might be missing something, but once it's set up, why would it be any more costly than an affiliate site?

If I am not mistaken, the startup costs on something like this are huge!! I hope you are prepared to take a very large risk. I am sure that some people here would help market the site at 60% commission, assuming that they would get paid. I believe most afffilates would like to see that the site is reputable and established before promoting.

Just to clarify my original post for those who might have missed it the first time, all support, payment processing and site maintainance will be taken care of for 25%.

The only costs that i'll have will be marketing. Google seo will be the same as for an affiliate site, plus i'll have the extra traffic from affiliate sites, so technically, getting traffic should actually be easier than with an affiliate portal.

Wouldnt you have additional fees associated with the network, ie jackpots, royalties. I dont think its as cheap as you think it is - and promoting would def depend. Speaking for myself - I would push another c-planet brand before a noname (which you would be) because I'd be worried you'd close down, you wouldnt pay, trust for players etc,. I dont like new companies when they first start because there is nothing that keeps them from closing up shop overnight.

Also Im not sure which brand your thinking of but - have you checked the player forums yet to see what they think of the software, problems with the software, problems with payouts, support etc.

Im telling ya you really need to look into this because there are some players AND affiliates who will refuse to push/play with specific software.

btw - I have no idea really on any of this, basically shooting off ideas but when I asked around about casinos, I was told the investment is considerably bigger than many of the poker networks. Plus as an affiliate it wouldnt matter what you'd offer me - that means nothing if the money isnt there to pay and I wouldnt open a casino without seeing what the players have to say and background info - alot of shady programs out there to make you skeptic

We can handle the start up costs, and the site behind it are a massive company that work with party gaming and 888, so payment shouldn't be an issue. If they weren't trustworthy, i wouldn't give them my money.

Do you know of any good casino player forums that i can check out Kaus?

In regards to closing down overnight, that'd be ridiculous after investing the start up money, as i wouldn't ever see the player money myself. The mother company handle it, like some poker networks do.

    Casinomeister is where Id start

and the parent company handling the funds - does that mean they handle player payments or player and affiliate payments.

Also just to add - have you checked into the network rules in regards to promotions and % for affiliates etc.
