Is there any point in targeting US market?

I'm getting really fed up with all the BS going on in poker lately. There are now zero US companies to promote without running serious risk of getting completely screwed. Let's see who we have to choose from:

PokerStars
Full Tilt Poker
Ultimate Bet
Absolute Poker
Carbon Poker
PDC Poker
PlayersOnly
Sportsbook Poker
Superbook
Cake
Bodog

The only one in that list with a halfway decent track record is Bodog. I like PlayersOnly and Sportsbook but they are now associated with Merge.

Is it worth the effort in this industry to target the US market? All that time writing content + changing pages could be better spent promoting "cure acne now" e-books.

The only poker rooms in USA market I''l promote are:

PokerStars
Bodog
Cake

Maybe: Doyles Room

And agree how to cure acne e-books or affiliating weight loss potions is probably a better use of time than specifically targeting the US market, if you can target a global market and have options geo targeted to at least get some USA conversions than that is still worth the time.

You can always give victory poker a shot. Once upon a time, Cake was never expected to be anything more than just another site.

I think it's mainly because Merge sucks in general. We have discussed this a lot on this forum before.

Merge Gaming is going very strong and will “not die” ☺ trust me. eGR predicts that we will become a top 10 online poker room by August 2011 Merge Gaming | eGaming Review. There are a ton of things going on here and when we make them public, you all will be blown away; trust me!

If aiding in two affiliates being stiffed for $120,000+ didn't blow you away, stay tuned apparently more is coming! This month they ran a $500K rake race but didn't pay this over a year delinquent debt. That alone should blow you away but if not please let them know as they are guaranteeing you'll be blown away.

Oops I forgot to mention they are going to be a top 10 poker room by August 2011. That was my initial reason for finding that post.

Yes, unless Sportsbook had some 100% guaranteed financial incentive in moving to Merge, it was a TERRIBLE decision. My friends who played on PlayersOnly/Sportsbook LOATHE the new software.

I guess I don't understand the point in messing with a site that was doing just fine to take a chance on a shitty network (at best).
