Default BEST backend tracking? Also - what makes a good backend?

I see so many differences in the backends out there for reporting stats...and I wonder WHY?

You would think that by now, there would tend to be a standard for what makes a good stats reporting backend...

Which ones stand out as being EXCELLENT?

    Which ones are very POOR?

    What makes a good backend?

bet365 is the best in my opinion. All vital stats in an easy to read table. Most of the affiliate backends are quite terrible, actually.

PKR and Betsafe have by far the best one in my opinion (they use the same).

Stars has probably the worst one.

    "Must-haves" for me would be:
    - unique trackers
    - bonus codes
    - clicks (not only sign-ups)
    - gen. rake on a player basis

I think BestPoker has gone from rags to riches in the past year.

In case you're one of those affiliates that don't make a dime, why not play some free poker on my website PokerForFree.org. I am always on the hunt for new members, and if you contact me and mention PAL, I'll be more than happy to increase your initial bankroll a bit

I would also see more INTERACTIVITY for the affiliate.

Why can't I select an option that sends me an email if I get a RMP?...or once I reach 10? Or a weekly summary? This should all be really easy to select and manage in the backend for the affiliate to use as a tool.

Secondly, we should be able to select an option to chart and graph whatever stat we want to compare. If we want to compare, countries of signups per month or year, etc... Or, if we want to compare a certain group of trackers vs. others...

Isn't the WHOLE POINT of affiliating to be able to take data and improve by seeing the patterns? What is the point if there is no features to be able to help display those patterns? I want to be able to closely compare campaigns, codes, trackers by demographic, dates, etc... I want to work on what is working and abandon what isn't to be more productive.

The best thing for any affiliate program would be complete transparency - statistics without a delay. It would take away a lot of doubts about affiliate programs, as sometimes results are so different when you compare programs to each other. I am 100% sure that some programs are screwing us, but its something we will never be able to prove.

I also agree with Corp. Affiliate programs should really consult with some affiliates about what they want. Have to say Bet365 does well sending weekly reports over mail these days.
