    Default Bodog T&C changes

Cliff notes, CPA has gone down, affiliates will be getting hit with more charge backs. Even worse stuff for new aff's. For me with the predatory terms of their CPA program already, they are ballsy to lower the CPA IMO

As a valued partner of BodogAffiliate we want to make you aware of some of the changes that we are making to our T&C and commission plans. We are always looking for ways to improve our offering and are committed to ensuring that we are competitive and strategically fostering strong partnerships. Although only a couple of the changes listed may directly affect your business, we have included all changes to ensure that there's no confusion within the industry and so that you hear all details from us first.

    Revenue Share Partners:
We are changing our standard advertised Revenue Share rates. As an existing partner you will remain on your current program unless you would like to switch to our new offering (full details to be found here), which has different tier levels and the opportunity to earn up to 45% on Casino revenue.

We will be introducing a variation of a minimum player requirement for NEW affiliate partners who sign up effective immediately and is clearly outlined in our T&C (this is NOT a retroactive change to our Terms and Conditions). This will not impact you if you already have an account with BodogAffiliate.com, and we will continue to honor the terms and conditions that you agreed to when signing up. For new partners who do not refer 3 depositing players within a 6 month period will earn a 10% rev share; however they still have the opportunity to earn at the standard revenue share levels in future months by meeting the minimum requirement for new players.

Finally, bodogaffiliate has long been one of the few programs that hasn't passed on processing and licensing costs to affiliates; however with the current challenges and subsequent increased costs related to doing business we have been forced to share some of these costs. Since these fees are a newly introduced way to calculate your monthly earnings we will NOT be adding them to your current player base's future earnings; only players that sign up after July 1st, 2010 will we charge any fees on. This means that for a player who opened an account prior to July 1st, 2010, your commission will be calculated the same way it always has been.

    CPA Partners:
We will be changing our standard CPA offering from the current $100 to a sliding scale in which partners can earn up to $125 depending on the number of qualified players referred. Our qualifications for earning a CPA will remain the same, players simply need to deposit $20 into their account. The scale will be as follows:
    Number of Depositing Players CPA
    1-20 $75
    24-40 $100
    41+ $125

The new CPA plan will be in effect for all partners who earn on the standard CPA rate and will take effect for existing partners as of July 1st, 2010. New affiliates who open the account will be subject to the terms effective immediately.

We know that as an affiliate partner you work hard promoting the Bodog brand and we value your commitment and dedication to expanding our marketing reach. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,

    Bodog Affiliate Team

Didn't think it deserved it's own thread but I've noticed that noone has mentioned the change to partygaming's T&Cs.

The times, they are a changin:

    Hi,

As you know, we’ve been working hard to create a great loyalty programme to keep your players active and generating increased revenues for you.

You will be aware that, as a gesture of goodwill, we have not to date deducted the costs we have incurred in providing the loyalty programme from your MGR as we wanted to ensure that we got this programme absolutely right before passing on any cost to you.

As we are sure you will agree, the programme has now proved to be a great success and we are happy to have absorbed this cost to date. However, we now feel it is appropriate to start making these deductions from your MGR in line with our affiliate terms and conditions. These deductions will be applied to your MGR with effect from 1st May 2010.
At least Bodog gives us a few months to prepare.

I wouldn't mind it as much if they removed the STUPID STUPID rule of the player must deposit by the end of the CALENDAR MONTH.

    STUPID!

I've always wondered if that balanced out the players that only deposited $20 and never came back. Is it wrong to change my banners and sites around the 20th of each month to avoid sending players to bodog who may not deposit in time?

I 100% agree Corp, and no I think that's a great idea Mike - I only do rakeback with them, so I mean they seem to convert alright for that. As for the $20 and leave evening out, I was accused of fraud when I had a few players do that (they accused me of fraud 4 years later btw lol) - So I mean I dunno, so much potential but I've always felt Bodog needs to get with it some day.

Oh and what were the Party Changes? I only send like 20ish players a month now, so don't really pay much attention to them.

Apparently, as of May 1st, we will be charged for the costs incurred by the loyalty program at the party brands. I'm not sure how major this will be, but I don't see a place in the backend where this charge will be shown, so who knows.

I take it all with a grain of salt and it's really just a sign of the times. Party has been solid for non-US traffic and was very solid all around prior to the UIGEA. The fact that they are now hopping on the "change our T&Cs" bandwagon is a definite indicator of things to come, imo.

Why would Bodog make their CPA even shittier? $75 CPA is a joke with the terms they have...

For anyone who doesn't know - with Bodog CPA the player has to deposit in the same calendar month in order to be paid. If you have someone sign up on the 31st but doesn't deposit until the next day you will not be paid.
