    Hi,

Please tell me what prices you think are best to charge per word for online poker room reviews.

How you opt to charge for your work is up to you, with a number of writers already in the pipeline here i would say that you should look to be looking to better their prices but also looking to reflect your price on the quality of work you produce.

$20-$30 per review is close to norm. $.05/word is pushing it here, but I'd gladly pay $.15/word if I found someone who really knew how to convert. I don't know why I would pay someone $50 for a page when it is my job to code it, optimize it, code into html, take screen shots etc. Most writers here will not ask you which website their work will be going on before they write, they wont ask about specific keyword choices, wont ask about anything that is not completely generic... that's fine, but that's a $20 review. It also demonstrates why outsourcing content sucks. Has nothing to do with grammar, has to do with implementation and optimization.

I usually pay 5 cents per word that seems to be the average price for content but I've also paid $50 per review I have no problem paying for quality work.

You should charge as much as you can get paid for your work. You're running a business of course .

If I were in your shoes right now, I'd start out by figuring out the smallest amount I'd be willing to write an article for..

Then I'd make a thread offering 5-10 articles at that price, while i build my rep, get some itrader, and figure out if I even like writing for profit.

Then I'd close that thread right up, turning away business if need-be, and raise the price a touch.. I'd keep on doing that until the market rate became apparent .

The writers are probably afraid to invade your privacy, or scare you away. The more information you provide, the easier it is to write an article. When I order articles for myself, I provide an 'intro' to every article...

    Title
    Target Keyphrase
Three url's of articles I like, or articles that have info that I like.
A few words on what i'd like the article to cover.

I don't ask all of my clients to do that, because I don't want them to get scared away :O.

I tried to hire a designer here recently and he sent me a 20-sum page example of how I should tell him I'd like my site. I didn't buy..

If you did send all that info to your writers though, they'd probably use it.

How can people suggest prices without seeing the quality of the OP's work?

My answer to the OP: Depends on the quality of your writing, what experience you have in this industry, do you have contacts at the various sites, do you just rewrite existing reviews or actually go out and find the information directly from sources at the sites themselves? etc, etc, etc....
