Default The Power 50: Top Gaming Affiliates

So yesterday we covered this topic some on the radio show and there was a pretty strong interest from listeners emailing in about 'the list.' I think the article is pretty well written, although it really has the tone of an 'industry blogger' and not someone who's actually worked as an affiliate/operator. Regardless, he is right about affiliates in the past few years making the (correct) leap from affiliate to company. PAS and RaketheRake are my prime examples of this; however PokerListings and PokerNews are of course in that same echelon.

They've missed a few, but for the most part have it right. I'm not sure all affiliates would want to be on this list though. Like we said yesterday some love the attention and recognition and others would be fine silently collecting their commissions. If they weren't already, this is a sure fire way to get an unsolicited email from every affiliate manager out there lol.

Interesting comments from Karim there at the bottom, inviting a buyout it sounds like but he mentioned multiples of 6 to 7 years too - that's enough money in this industry to get anyone interested.

The poker list suffers from eGaming reviews bias against Stars and Tilt, and their bias in favor of the international pseudo-important public companies. The idea that the dominant Norwegian and Finnish affiliates are in the same league as Poker Listings, Poker Strategy and Poker News is fantasy.

The sports list seems horrible imo. The comments in this thread made me decide to go check it out. Regarding the rest of it, entertaining ideas for an article I guess but Fail for effort, you didn't need to be an sort of expert to slap that junk together. No disrespect and congrats to anyone who made the list, there are just however a plethora of glaring omissions for each list and enough I don't feel this is even a proper snapshot. Though seriously never would have even bothered to click those links had it not been for the comments here.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

I also think that SBR must be one of the better affiliates out there. Without knowing any actual numbers I would have guessed that odds comparison affiliates like oddschecker, betbrain and especially Tipex should be among the best ones. Maybe even oddsoddsodds.

Got nothing to back this theory up though
