Default Question on domain value with "almost" exact match

Pick a gambling term... say "full house". Let's say there's 250K monthly searches for "full house", but only 3500 for "full houses". How would you value fullhouses.com? Does the fact that it's almost exact to "full house" help it? It's not an exact match, but it's off by 1 character.

I'm not sure if you just chose the plural as an example or not, but it is the thing I can really comment on from personal experiences owning many different domains and work on so many others. What I've found is search engines have refined their handling of plural use in URLs especially in relation to broad searches. For example if your domain is full houses and someone searches on Full House Odds, Full House Bonus, Full House Payout etc, you're not getting extra credit so to speak for these querries as yours in the plural.

Now I'm tempted to go write a bigger response an anticipation of a counter but going to pass. I'm just going to point out that what I stated became true quite some time ago and that extra bonus I am speaking of may or may not have exist now nor ever have existed.. but in theory of how it relates to the question it does apply.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

Well, I'm not refering to plural so perhaps a bad example on my part. For the purposes of the example, let's say I have fullhousef.com and pretend that "full housef" = "full house" in another language. Except I'm not that interested in selling it for the other language value (low search volume), but for the english version (high search volume).

In your example above, you're adding a 3rd word to the search query. I'm talking about people searching for "full house" (250K Matches). How does "fullhousef.com" fit in all this?

Okay my point was you lose broad queries for that keyword, which any large exact match would have a ton of.

As far as almost exact match: fullhousef.com is no different than fullhouseguide.com, fullhousepoker.com, etc. It is not an exact match and don't think there there is any bonus for "almost exact match".

Also Full House was a very popular TV-series. I would imagine that majority of the people searching for "Full House" are actually looking for info about it. So if you are talking about this particular domain or anything around Full House I would be prepared for the fact that majority of the traffic will be worthless.

Yeah figured that, but a fair warning anyway before someone offers $1million for FullHouse.org and then ends up wondering why his traffic isn't converting :P
