    Default Hosting Recommendations

I know its been discussed many times but cant find the thread.

Currently use bluehost, but only allows 1 ip address, if you want different class c's you have to open different accounts.

Need something that will allow me a few different ip's for some of my smaller sites,

Can anyone recommend any good ones, must be quick loading and reliable.

    Thanks

I've used indianets for about 6 months for a few smaller sites and have never had any problems. It may be worth checking out.

Skynet hosting is good (and cheap) for hosting multiple sites on unique c-class IP's . Check out their VIP or advanced hosting:

If you pay for multiple months at once you can get a solid discount. I haven't had any downtime issues and everything has been great. We've had trouble figuring out how to change the nameservers with domains we've reg'd through them so when I want to set up a new domain on the account I just open a support ticket and let them know. They do everything and send me the cpanel/ftp info and I'm ready to go.

Yep, I use and recommend skynet also. The good thing about them, is you get to choose if you want your site on a US or UK server.

I'm not really sure. I think if you're targeting the uk market, it is better to have your site hosted in uk.

I don't have an affiliate link. I think changing servers can have a temporary effect on rankings (not really sure though). The UK/US thing may also have a small effect on regional rankings...maybe someone with more experience in this matter can chime in, I'm curious as well because I want to move some established sites over to skynet. Godaddy's 99.9% uptime just hasn't come true for me.

www.hostnine.com is another good one, when you are adding websites/accounts, there is a dropdown menu for a list of states-countries where you can choose to host the site.

I keep hearing good things about SkyNet and looking at their website it looks like they offer a lot at a good price. I'm very interested in switching to them for a VPS deal. Those of you who host with them - what is their support like?

I have some experience with this for a .com e-commerce store, which targets both the UK and USA. I switched from UK hosting to US, hoping to see an increase on Google for US searches. I was worried about the UK rankings too, what with it being a .com and not .co.uk and also the fact that 50% of the business was from the UK. It's been over a year and I have not noticed any difference. Of course there could be many other factors but that's what I've noticed. If it does help, it's not by much (IMO).
