These folks have shown their willingness to violate privacy and trust issues by breaking into forum member accounts (and banning them in a hidden way so other forum members aren't aware), and that they've deleted or locked threads relating to any issues they didn't want brought up.

So it doesn't really surprise me that they're using a twisting of words and phrases in a manner that tries to make them look clean while leaving out information about Effective Media in the first video.

But in the professors video he admits to owning Effective Media, and this is obviously a serious conflict-of-interest that they were actively involved in "consulting" for Cardspike and at the same time using their PAP/CAP influence to drive traffic to a rogue operator that ripped off tons of trusted affiliates.

And it proves that their "certification" has no due diligence behind it, and doesn't provide for any level of trust, assurance or guarantee in the industry. Hey, if the cardrooms want to ship me 25 grand I'll give them a nice little jpeg seal they can put on their website so you know they're "certified" (that they paid me 25 grand)

Exactly, that is the issue they are dodging. I have no reason not to beleive them when thay say PAP has no ownership with CS, and some people may have made these statements (altought from most of the things I read, it was more often presented as a question and not as a fact/statment).

The unethical part is of course using your position at PAP/CAP to push a program you have financial stakes via your independent consulting business. I've never seen them push any of the other certified programs that hard, not even close. That's one of the primary issue that is NOT being discussed by Lou. If I was another PAP certified program, I would be very pissed off at this as it is completely unfair to them. But if they have a problem with it, they should speak up themselves I supose.

The other question I would like anwsered is "Who owns cardspike?" These folks owe money to a lot of people. Is there a reason why we can't know who they are?

Finally, why the hell is pokeraffiliateworld still promoting them?

And why was there little to no response to many PAP Arbitration thread requests for assistance with the Cardspike issue. And why were many threads that brought up issues ONLY WITH CARDSPIKE (i.e. didn't attack or question PAP itself) locked or removed?

Why were longtime respected members of the PAP forums waking up to find their accounts banned based solely on their usage of the PAL forum? Hell, why was my account password changed and my ability to reset or reacquire my password removed without warning or notice?

There's a shit-ton of questions that are unanswered or avoided here, and The Professor acts like a lot of stuff didn't happen (because I guess if you delete EVERYTHING then it never happened!)

Congrats on the video JTodd. I like the new format it has changed to recently with two videos a week. Not as many ads and I don't have to skip through to get to the info.

I like the direction you guys are going in. Keep it up.

I agree, the new videos are great. Regarding Cardspike, EMG, PAP, CAP, I am obviously bound by a confidentiality agreement so I cannot comment on the matter.

Likewise I know people would love to hear from GP, he is also bound by a confidentiality agreement.

The whole situation is a shame, because none of this would have ever transpired had affiliates just gotten paid in a timely manner. Think about it, does anyone really care who has beneficial ownership or interests in the card rooms we promote? No! as long as affiliates are getting paid and the program is giving great service, nobody cares.

Unfortunately, this entire situation has snowballed into a massive drama, and the issues have grown to be significantly larger than just affiliates not getting paid.

Remaining silent and watching this whole thing unfold from my seat on the sidelines has been quite an experience to say the least. Someday when I retire from this industry, I will be able to write one hell of an autobiography.

I do look forward to the day when we can see some closure on the whole situation though.

As an operator I do care. I won't say more although I'd really like to go off on a big rant and I'm not the only operator who is biting their tongue. I still want to hear what CAP have to say about absoluteslots, which is competing with me and they got fantastic exposure in Barcelona.

I think that is the real crux of the issue, John. If they are running or helping to run other affiliate programs - how are YOU (the paying program) going to expect equal treatment.

I'd be a little pissy about the whole thing myself if I were an affiliate program. Especially if you see a program get top billing when you now see a relationship.

I don't know much about AS or their relationship, I think Elliott is a hell of a guy. But there is news on CasinoMeister about the affiliate manager (Benjamin) having an Effective Media email address.
