I find their selection quite boring.
Hardly anyone clicks on banners, although more is nice I'd rather have them fix their tracking issues.

I think affiliate programs should have new banners every few months to show the newest promotions. Seeing the same old banner can get boring and useless. It is much more productive if you display a banner with new information the visitor may not have known leading to a registration and hopefully a deposit.
This goes for all affiliate programs and just my thoughts![]()

They could do with a new logo too - dreary brown, yawn
I think one of my complaints is this: As most of the GIF banners rotate through their images, most of the images that the banners rotate through don't say Cake Poker anywhere on there. I think it's like 1/3 phases where the name is shown. Adding this might help with branding around my sites.
I suppose maybe this is a marketing tactic, where you show people something crazy, then make them wonder for a second before you tell them what the banner is really for. However, I don't think this is the venue for using that sort of tactic, that's just my opinion. I've been trying to use my banners sort of as per Jeremy's advice in his blog a few months ago...to accompany text links and help enhance the brand, not to try and overwhelm the user with graphics and animation until they click something.

I definetely agree with this. They offer up so many different promotions, it would make sense to have banners for those offers.
I think one reason they might not do it is that perhaps they worry about the less active affiliates leaving up banners for outdated promotions, which in turn would result in inquiries about a promotion months or years later, causing problems and confusion for their own support staff?

This could be easily fixed by updating their banners, but keeping the link the same. So you set a banner that auto updates from their side of things with the monthly promotions, etc.
This obviously doesn't work if the person download the GIF and displays it themselves, but they run that issue now anyway.
