Just because many people use it as pure gambling does not take away any from the fact skill can be used to make only +EV wagers. IMO if sports betting is illegal, the stock market should be too, of course I believe none of them should be.

The stock market is the biggest game of chance out there. One day you are sitting with 100k in your investment account and a few months later you have lost 40% without making any moves. If we could just figure out economics, we'd be in good shape.

I'm certain sports betting is a game of skill. It can be a lot more complex than the general public will give it credit for. I was chatting to Mark Vos one night and he was telling me that he got a 2k free bet just because of the way he made all his bets. He had some guy to beat federer at ridiculous odds...like 10-1 or more and he won.

@ Steve and the stock market, that's a game of skill as well. If you know what's going on you can make a killing. It's just knowing what is going on is where the skill comes in.
