My Problems with Cake Poker

These are my issues with Cake Poker's affiliate tracking...

I recently had 17 downloads and absolutely no sign ups, for real money or play money. Here is a screenshot...



Note: Impressions showing as 0 makes sense because these are all text links and not banners.

17 downloads seemed about right considering the number of clicks and how Cake is/was buried on my site.

The problem is that 17 people won't go through the trouble of signing up if 0 will end up making an account. That is like renting a movie and never watching it. Why would they make the effort of downloading the software if none had the intention to ever use it.

I have changed my Cake Poker tracking to a PAS tracker on CPA only because I don't want to waste my existing content, but it is clear that I have been cheated here.

Can someone else provide their download to signup to real money numbers? I thought Cake just wasn't getting clicks, then I thought it just wasn't getting downloaded, now I know that my players were just stolen from me.

Glad I didn't actually give them exposure at any point in time. Your input/statistics are appreciated.

I gave up on promoting cake (non-rakeback) after 1000s of clicks 0 downloads and 0 signups.

Maybe you're getting sign ups that are testing the site on play money and then deciding not to deposit due to the software.

I don't know the CPA side (although I've heard lots of tracking problems for other affiliates), retention on Cake for rakeback though is quite poor.

Please re read the post. They are not signing up for play money or real money.

The problem is that Cake gives a shit about all these issues. How long do these tracking problems last? I don't take them serious any more.

Yet affiliates are still having tracking issues (unless Cake Poker is the worlds worst converting site on the internet).

I fixed my bad Cake Poker stats problem by promoting DoylesRoom instead of Cake. My DoylesRoom stats are on par with other rooms.
