That's a civil matter, not criminal. People use "illegal" too broadly. Breaking a contract isn't illegal.

Thanks for a really illuminating post. It's not often we get to see the inside information on a subject like that.

I disagree, you are confusing criminal with illegal. Illegal refers to anything that is against the law. Law refers to all types of law (criminal, civil, etc). It also refers to set rules of an organization. Since the NFL is in full swing, the example I'd use is "illegal forward pass". It's not a broad use of the word, the word itself is broad. And yes, breaking a contract is illegal, it's just not criminal.

Illegal - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Illegal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyway, it's all semantics and completely off topic. Now, back to jd and that other guy throwing punches.....

No punches to be seen from me. If he can't accept someone having an opposite point of view to himself without resorting to childish posts, he can stay on my blocked list.

Back on the real topic, does everyone think its fair/right to complain to Google for guideline breaking? Whatever that guys name was who was getting his panties in a twist because I suggested he would be breaking the guidelines somewhere himself is completely wrong, imo.

I don't think its unreasonable to say almost all gambling webmasters are breaking them in some way, and 99% of high earning gambling webmasters are breaking them - its simply impossible to get enough legit links to compete otherwise. Therefore the gambling community shouldn't be trying to throw some other webmaster under a bus for effectively doing what they are.

Can anyone show me an affiliate site that makes $20k+ a month that hasn't broken a single guideline? I'm guessing the answer is no, but if there is one I'd love to take a look. edit - and I'm not including sites that involve actually owning a bookmakers, already being a millionaire poker pro of buying a $1m exact match domain. I mean a "regular" website.

So you're encouraging click fraud, whilst building a Google guideline breaking backlink profile? Lovely.

Someone quote this so he becomes incredibly frustrated that he sees my post anyway.

There is a difference between deceiving Google in someone redirecting ads and buying links. Google will punish those sites on their own, it will not, however, punish these ads unless they are reported. There is an option to report people for link building too, it's just a waste of effort. This is not a waste of effort because it will get results.

In summary, you are a moron.

I can't even wrap my head around how stupid this guy is as well as his laughable comparisons.
