Default Back to Basics and respecting one another.

    Good evening all,

Just wanted to say i have been here since November and was so glad I was invited by a fellow GPWA member. I really enjoy this place whether it be public or private. Its very useful for me and allows me great insight.

As a "whole family" as i will put it, we are up against some upsetting industry negative events. No sense in repeating it here. We need to be a team!

In general there seems to be a negative vibe going around all the forums and people wanting to get super heated about things. While I understand this is natural, i do not think its very productive for us all as a whole.

Rather than look at the negatives of some of the industry flaws, why don't we as a group try and focus on the positives. Lets focus on working together not against. Its time we start respecting one another more in my opinion.

Its my belief that if we work together to discuss things in a respectful way and try and solve things together without negative posts we will get allot further ahead in this game.

PAL is a respected affiliate forum, and we are all great people trying to make a career out of affiliating in this industry. We should spend our time helping each other improve not fall off the horse so to speak.

At times i may have taken some posts personally and felt upset. Then i realized its not productive to feel this way. I turned it around and try now to view every post as a positive influence on me.

I certainly have a long way to go in this industry, and work hard everyday to improve myself, and gain valuable contacts an business relationships here.
I really respect this site and the people here.

So let me start off by saying i respect everyone here, and only want the best for every member here. It would always be an honor to have dealings with each and everyone of you. I enjoy talking to you all and reading your posts.

I feel its time we all take a step back and get back to basics. We should try our best to respect each and every member here at all times if we can.
Not everyone has the best intentions but even with these people we can learn allot from.

Everyone is important here, and should be given respect! So i will be the first to repeat i respect and value everyone here.

Awesome post GFPC (TEArex's BFF), I wish I could + rep ya.

A very smart person told me this : the quality of your life is determined by the focus of your attention. So let's be positive here. We'll all be dead really soon anyways so why not?

People who focus on lack always need more, people who focus on injustice always feel wronged. When I use this forum I always choose to focus on the positive things. There may be a negative thread about something or someone. I choose to avoid it and post something positive instead.

Here is why people focus on the negative threads : ego. People get their feeling of self by arguing /resisting things. After all, if you didn't get angry about the cardspike situation you wouldn't be much of an affiliate would you?

But here's what I'm proposing. You don't have to be angry at something to make it change. When you look at the injustices on TV, people getting killed you get angry, but what does it do ? The alternative is to accept the situation, not as a resignation but with your head up. You see the situation deeply, are moved by it and take action to resolve it.

I think harnessing a positive atmosphere is key in a successful community.

Instead of picking on a tiny piece content in our lives that we don't want, I propose we just take a step back and look at all that we have been taking for granted.

haha. A buddha hijacked the thread again !

Great post GFPC. Obviously there is no fun of arguing on silly issues, it's just a big waste of time.

big floppy bunny huggles to you GFPC!

Seriously though, some people are just wound tight (perhaps work/financial/family stresses) and take it out on others. Some people just suck at the interwebs and come across as mean-spirited towards others.

Don't let em get you down (and I'm glad you decided to stick around and not leave because some members were rude to you).

Keep on being positive and lead by example. Just as a lot of negative people can influence those around them to be negative, a lot of positive people can encourage others to be positive as well.

Who are you talking about exactly? This is out of control. In every thread you are taking low blows at people. You still haven't got the point of anything and are continually twisting phrases and using play on words to look like a victim of some sort when in fact you are the aggressor.

It was you who started all this mess, noone else. You have offended people and wasted a lot of people's time with your mass spam posts. If you continue to act like this you need to be banned.

Please guys, let's not start all that mess again.

There are a lot of other things in which we can concentrate and grow our business. It's better to keep grudges/personal issues out of this forum

GFPC had considered not sticking around here and being active because a few other members were rude to him when he asked for help in a thread.

I talked with him in private and also took time to help him out personally. So my post is in relation to the individuals that he encountered that were less than helpful/friendly.

I did in fact at one point feel disappointed by some comments made by some members in some posts of mine. That much is true. Also yes Poker Nations did encourage me to stick around. He did in fact help me out.

The reason why I posted this thread is because i do honestly care about this forum and the people here. Its the way I am i guess. Call it faulty - maybe but for me I always try and be honest and helpful to everyone any chance I get.

I thought by posting this, it would help encourage others to be friendly and less hostile. This also includes me, as in the past I have also got heated maybe not to much here but other sites and even with some affiliate sites.

I am no Saint but I wanted to try and just ease the pressure a bit from this forum and hoped it would settle some anger down. I meant no harm!!

As i said all of you are important here, and deserve respect and courtesy from others. I just want to be this way for myself and become a much more positive person which i am working on.

I have no ill feelings anymore, and will continue to be helpful and pleasant at all times or try my best to be!!!

I only wish the best for everyone here!! And thank everyone who as shared things to help me and others.

Well said Steve. I think that while many of us may have our differences, we can all agree that we're big fans of Jeremy and want to support him and see him succeed (he's been instrumental in the success of many members here)

Especially with the crap he's dealing with from the slime over at CAP, let's all work together to support him in his time of need, rather than get embroiled in our own disagreements.
