    Default Jackpot Feeds?

I have seen jackpot feeds on some of the sites, that increase automatically.

How do these work. Are they just some code you enter for your site and it displays the current jackpot.

I think these would be great to attract players to a nice slot casino.

You can get javascript-based jackpot "tickers" from the major Microgaming affiliate programs. WagerShare, Rewards Affiliates, and Brightshare have jackpot tickers.

Euro Partners offers tickers for their Playtech casinos.

And some of the Rival programs have flash banners with the progressive jackpot values embedded.

To answer your original question -- yes, you basically just copy and paste the code into your website, and it should work.

It's really nice to have you here Engineer! I have seen the tickers from Europartners and they do look pretty nice. RTG (Real Time Gaming) has a nice selection from some of their skins as well with progressive jackpots embedded. Do these convert well from your experience?

Thanks Greg. Congrats on the new position, btw.

I actually haven't used any of the tickers before, so I don't know how well they convert. The reason for this is that I prefer to host everything myself -- I host my own banners, and I don't call up scripts that are hosted on other servers. That way if something goes down on the other end, my site isn't slowed down and it still looks the way it's supposed to.

Probably playing it too safe, though... I probably should at least try the tickers on one site and see how they do.

Hey buddy thanks! I am pretty excited to be working with the Tower crew.
Nothing worse than having an empty slate on the page where a banner should go. Hosting them in house on your own server is a safe play.

What I was thinking about is this... I would bet that with people looking for a big payday online that the progressive JP banners might convert pretty well. Think about how popular the big games are at the land based casinos. People always flock to the big numbers; I would bet that the same is true for players deciding on a new place to make a deposit.

Thanks for the feedback GP and Engineer.

I tend to agree that these could be a great tool to convert players looking for big jackpots.

    Yes, I agree.

If your traffic is mostly from the U.S., then RTG is probably a good bet. Right now they have 2 progressives that are larger than $1 million and one that is sitting at over $900k.

This morning I had an idea after reading Engineer's post about the $1m jackpots. I looked at some of the progressive RSS feeds we have and there is one that's growing at $27k but then there are a few smaller ones around $3k. One cool idea might be displaying an 'About to Pop' section that shows the smaller progressives that go off more frequently. These are cool to play around with and they open up a whole new front of Search Terms to rank for lol.

Pages that list progressive jackpots, their average payout and their current total I've found convert really well, whether its casino or bingo. They also convert well generally no matter who the market is(ie: bonus hunters etc)
