please elaborate on what it takes to become a successful affiliate for me?

or at least correct me if I'm wrong here, but in order to understand what it takes to be a succesful affiliate one must understand the big picture:

In order for this game to be win/win/win - A poker site needs players, so a poker site hires affiliates, an affiliate actively seeks out and finds new players who's needs fit that of the affiliates promotional offers..or to be more clear:

A site needs players, players need somewhere to play, an affiliate essentially plays "matchmaker" given that each player and each poker site is unique in its services needed/services offered.

additional details: poker sites can afford to offer affiliates incentives, affiliates than offer players incentives, players than refuel the cycle with there action..

In this equation I see 1 key ingredient, which is the players $. this makes me think that in order to be a successful part of this equation (where you are a poker site, an affiliate, or a player) you need to keep the best interest of the players $ at the top of the priority list. amiright?

If you bring good traffic, there is no room that have a problem with that. If you're the only one under your tracker, no chance they accept.

As a side note a small microgaming skin where I used to play a few year back contacted me and offered me 30% + 15% to play there. To get the 15% I had to open an affiliate account..lol creative way to offer more rakeback that the cap.

I've had rooms allow me to do this before, but I was also actively sending them players. If you are a rakeback grinder trying to abuse the system, it's going to be more trouble than it's worth. If you are an affiliate trying to help promote a poker room, they will probably not mind if you ask.

I am a winning player overall, but if you ever grinded sitngo's seriously you would understand that your RB% actually makes up a very nice portion of your winrate.. so I guess I am partially a rakebackgrinder, how that is considered "abusing the system" makes absolutely no sense to me.. even if somebody was a slight losing player who needed a healthy RB% in order to profit, I would still hold no grudge against them, they are human and have human needs in this world. (sharkscope rs03rs03 on pokerstars for LOLz, but honestly you gotta respect people that just do something so unique to pay the bills, that is so out of this world to 100% of people in north america, yet makes perfect sense to him)
